I have been teaching some people to play warmachine and hordes recently at the guild and was asked how many people have models and play in Geelong. And going through the names I knew was about 15 people, which lead to the question "why isn't anything organised for some form of organised play? Be that a tourney or campaign or league."

I didn't really have an answer other than difficulty getting everyone into one place at the same time.

So I would like to know, if I organised an event for warmachine/ hordes who would be interested and be able to make some form of commitment to play? I am only thinking an initial event at about 15 - 20 points mangled metal style.

Stop killing the Australian Games Industry.
Buy from a local bricks and mortar store, not off the net from another country or online retailer.
The extra you pay keeps an Australian in a job, new games coming into Australia, and new players to our hobby.

Where would you be now, if all the games stores closed because no one was buying enough games from the store to keep the business alive. Where would your relatives buy you that new tank as a present for your birthday? How would you find out if you liked that new miniatures game, or paint range, if you couldn't go and pick up a sample to try out.

Shop Locally.
Keep your money in Australia.
Support your local Games Stores.
Take a young kid under your wing, and teach them to play properly.
