Ha, knew it. Human Sphere is getting an N3 re-release, and looks like Tohaa will be in it.

Nice. I heard a rumour pre orders would (again) include a limited edition mini. Anyoen know what this might be?

At this stage I'd be surprised if they didn't do a pre order mini.

They tend to go for generic stuff for pre orders (Joan was an odd one), so I'd guess another bounty hunter or some kind of civilian bootleg.

Cool. Anything that could be used as a warcor would be welcome, although I'll be getting the book regardless.

They'll probably roll the CP stuff (rules and army lists, NOT the campaign, spec ops, etc) into the book so that ALL of the fireteam (Haris, link, trident and enomotarchos) rules are in THE SAME PLACE.

Paradiso really didn't have much in the way of new rules, after all.

Equipment more than anything really.

All I really want is a good streamed lined version of the Fire Team rules and even better if they get rid of the term Fire Team because its freaken confusing to people when everyone calls it a Link Team. sleep.gif

Wish they just learned from second edition and made one freaking book that had all the races and stats in.

I really loathed having to pay money for an entire fluff book when I just needed it to run games smoother. The rules book is really easy to flick through and find rules, except for the fact I play aleph so having to use second edition human sphere and paradiso is a freaking constant.

Hopefully this rounds everything off for the 'old' content etc before snow planet whats i doodle releases with tunguska sectorals etc

compared to the clusterf... that is 40k these days, as well as the numerous editions for other games that are needed to fix terrible rules interactions etc. I can't complain at all about the launch of N3.

Sure it could have been better, but its basically an indy games dev company. They give the rules for free, an army builder for free, allow use of their IP in wikis and 3rd party apps etc. They're about as consumer friendly as possible.

As a new player I was somewhat disappointed when the N3 rulebook didn't contain all of the rules to play (eg, fire teams, evo repeaters etc). AFAIK they just took the core book and updated it to N3, ignoring almost everything in Human Sphere and Paradiso.

So I'll be similarly disappointed if Human Sphere continues this pattern. I mean I'd understand if they don't include the campaign rules (especially if they plan to flesh it out), but some substantial, genuinely new content would be nice to see. Hacking devices and new troop profiles would be a start, but what about some new sectorial lists (eg. new Aleph & Tohaa ones)?

I'm really hoping they stop putting profiles in print media all together.

Given the official army builder and its non-official counterparts exists as does the free profile PDF's there is no reason to print profiles.

Except when the builder goes down (for whatever reason).
Then a printout is better than nothing.

It's been down for several weekends for N3. I do most of my gaming on weekends.

Getting hyped on infinity again. Probably cos I sold my aleph and switched everything up.

Won't have a work space for a couple of months which sucks but the aim is to hit it hard asap.

I think they still print the profiles in the books because even in Spain and parts of Europe, there are areas with nets so bad they make ours look good.

With them printed, they cater to those with lacklustre nets or no access to them, as well as those with 1st world IT infrastructure (the online stuff).

Latest word from CB was they were including all new rules from the N2 Human Sphere and Paradiso books, but only in relation to model profiles, equipment, skills, etc. no mention of the campaign rules inclusion at this stage, but i certainly wouldnt count on it.

There was also mention of some new profiles for all armies, with the largest new profile focus on aleph and tohaa to get them somewhere equivalent in number to the other factions.

Yep, all the troops that came out in the older HS and paradiso are getting the N3 adjustment treatment this time around (rulebook units already mostly got them).

Those units got COST adjustments in line with their army's other units from the RB for the "eng_unit profiles" pdf, but didn't get the full treatment. That's what this book is for.

Honestly can't wait. Rumors are 2 man fire teams and Tohaa are getting a total over-haul. Maybe the Gorgos will do more than sit on my shelf?
