Hi Gamers
If you are in Darwin there is a club for gamers of all kinds. Games played include... - FLAMES OF WAR - WARHAMMER FANTASY - WARHAMMER 40,000 - WAR MACHINE - BLOOD BOWL - MAGIC THE GATHERING - ROLE PLAYING ...and others as well. You can have a sticky beak at the clubs forum here.... http://dtg.org.au/e107_plugins/forum/forum.php The Club meets almost every Sunday in the Darwin Bridge Club facility. Hours are from 9 in the morning til 6 in the afternoon. Cost is $5 for members and $10 for non members. Membership is cheap. The club has terrain and 6 x 4 tables for wargaming and sells cold drinks and fundraising chocolates. Sometimes Hot Dogs are on sale as well. Membership has been increasing over the last few years and tournaments take place through out the year. The Club gets sponsorship from the only place in Darwin to buy wargames supplys COMICS NT. COMICS NT are located at Casuarina Plaza near Casuarina Shopping Centre. Cheers |

I don't live there either, but my wife and I were planning on going there for our anniversary so I thought it may be worthwhile dropping in if I'm in the area, but I don't care enough to go looking for it on google.
Tho surely instead of being a smart arse, in the time it could have taken u to write that response you could have just written the address as well? |

Well my wife and I turned up to the club after a long and arduous battle of trying to find the club!
First off the clubs "sponsor" had information on them that was about 2 years old, little did they know the club had moved or atleast the address on the poster they were advertising on was wrong... After discover the club wasn't at the old folks home which was the address on the poster, we looked online at the website that was also attached to the poster, and that website was no longer in use! Then we did a larger search on google and found the new website and a different address online which was also wrong but the club also had no phone number for immediate contact. Finally we decided to contact the bridge club administration which we found on a seperate website, hoping to get in touch with someone at the bridge club who could help, but instead someone from the wargaming club picked up the phone. My wife spoke to them and after a lengthy conversation with the clubs secretary and president no one could actually tell us what the clubs address actually was! Finally, someone at the club said they would wait for us out side what turned out to be a drive way that looked just like someone's house driveway from the street. The club size was approx 40 ppl, which is a good size despite that they were crammed into a small building, but there was a good spirit amongst them Please don't take my comments negatively rather hear them as a way you can improve yourselves |
