Hooley,
sorry to be a downer in this second thread but it does not matter how you break it down it is still expensive.
Yes entry to the Tourney is very reasonable, congrats on that armata_PDT_37.gif , the very big down side is the admission price sad.gif , I for one could not justify the Min $44 entry fee to the venue for 2 days.

I am sure there are plenty out there willing to pay the price, good luck and I wish the event well.

The Minimum $33 for Pre-registration for two days you mean? $44 if you come for two days and pay at the door.

$33 entry fee and $28.05 (.05??) tourny fee, equals $61.05. Last years GT price was $50. My maths say you are only paying $11.05 to access the convention, and that seems entirley reasonable biggrin.gif

Thats true, but how much time will you have between games to actually go see "the convention" unless you buy more days? GW's $50 price tag was hefty enough, but at least they had decent (eg GW) Prizes. not trying to be a jerk, but a think a lot of people will just see the value per game and pass on it.

I'd recommend an alternative such as either making people not have to pay to enter the centre itself, OR giving them free access the other 2 days to actually see the place. They will probably only come back one more day, and it will seem like much better value for money for the players at no loss to you...

I`m more worried about what I`m getting for my money. The actual tournament part only costs $28.05, last year was $50. With such a reduction in income what are the prizes going to be like?

and OOI, is this the 'official' Games Workshop Grand Tournament, with WD advertising etc, or the name of the tournament? is it supposed to be GW sponsored even?

I ask this in relation to my other post HERE (scroll to bottom) about GW Grand Tournaments, and whether I am on the right track with it (coz I'd like to know! biggrin.gif )
