I didn't see a thread in here about it.

Anyone keeping up with the rumours? It's good for some lols.

With all the systems out at the moment, and play-tests etc, will there be even time to dust off my models?

I've been following it. Hard to make head or tails so far. But if Gw post rules for free download as mentioned color me impressed.

From what I've heard I think I'm actually looking forward to it. Maybe.

We'll find out on the 4th I guess

So reading the rules to this and ... its drastically diffetent.

Not sure simple means good though.

And no points system? As far as I can tell so far its based on " I have roughly 80 minis you grab 80 and we'll see how it goes."

Or
I'll use my entire mega dwarf collection which was old system 6000 points and you use that one unit of ten guys but hey, kill my general and you win WM/H style. Ob la di, Ob la da brah!

Sequence of play: Each round of play roll to see who goes first, woo hoo to going twice in row.
1 hero phase, magic
2 movement
3 shooting
4 charges
5 combat
6 battleshock test, add a dice roll to the number of models slain in the unit, for each point above the highest bravery characteristic 1 model flees. For every 10 models in the unit add 1 to bravery.
7 just play kings of war instead.

"Our market is a niche market made up of people who want to collect our miniatures. They tend to be male, middle-class, discerning teenagers and adults. We do no demographic research, we have no focus groups, we do not ask the market what it wants."

"External events that may affect us are only those things that bother everyone: interest rates, tax rates, exchange rates, directives from Brussels, war, pestilence and disease. What will not change is the eternal desire for some always to want yet more of the small, jewel-like objects of magic and wonder that we call Citadel miniatures."

Quotes by Tom Kirkby CEO of GW from their 2014 annual report. This is how you end up with age of sigmar, there was also one about being in the "collector business" not the "game business" but couldn't find it. Every new edition is always the worst one yet till ppl get used to it, most of the moaning seems to be the whole "you decide what's fair" hand washing crap they've pulled.
Guess we'll see on Saturday when we get access to the scrolls and see what the units look like.

.....there is a shop,in the Bunnings area, that is stocking some "stuff". He will order for you but the actual "stock in shelf "is limited. He will ,however, stock the Citadell paint range. (info by "Warhammer buy swap sell tips and tricks Fraser Coast".

Good Games Fraser Coast will carry some of the Games Workshop range and will be able to quickly get something you may be looking for.

*bah, the one time I don't use a quote I get post sniped, the attempt at humour is in relation to bubbas post #15

I heard that guy's already had his window smashed for being dodgy as, he puts his thumb on the scale when you buy GW figs. GW figs are now sold buy weight, that's how you have an "evenly weighted" game of age of sigmar now eg. Hey let's have a 500g skirmish or Who's up for a 3kg grand battle. ;p

Joking aside now, the AoS rules and warscrolls are available on th NZ site if you want to grab it, still not showing on the AU one for some reason.

From the skaven Screaming Bell warscrolls.

During hero phase ring the bell, on a result of

"13 ImprobableVictory!:Against all probability and reason, you immediately win the battle (and are hereafter branded a cheat – not that that should bother a true skaven general)."

Someone has a sense of humour at least, this is a 2d6 table roll with no modifiers.
