Yes I just found out you can get torches, I haven't come across one yet.

This seems to be one of those game where money doesn't just accumulate, I seem to be spending a lot of money on food but not finding a lot in my travels.

Unlike some other games where I become ridiculously wealthy without realising it.

Just about every crate, barrel and sack you see can be looted - usually they contain food, basic crafting items or other junk.

Like many RPGs you wont have much money early on, but eventually will end up with a surplus and not a lot to spend it on, at least until you reach the DLC.

I did just this, but didn't realise it was a crime. I was in a big town for the first time and just started rifling through people's things, and didn't realise it was a problem until about the fourth one when suddenly a bunch of guard with halberds starting killing me!

I've been deliberately avoiding side quests, i'll start doing some.

The side quests are some of the best parts of Witcher 3.

I've gotten back into the multiplayer of Mass Effect 3. It's still easy enough to get a game and it's really solid.

I just cancelled my WoW subscription after trying out the Legion expansion. I did have a bunch of fun, but just like when I last played (¬6 years ago), I just don't want to have to logon everyday for WQs/dailies etc. It then feels like a second job and the enjoyment fades. Also the Legendary system is pretty awful. I did really, really like the launch and fun of playing my old characters again, there were some incredibly cool things to check out.

Now I am back to playing Arma III Exile Mod and DayZ.

What's your username in DayZ? I've probably run into you once or twice.

Me too or at least I was while playing through ME3 again. I was honestly pretty surprised that I only really had lag issues a couple of times.

This is me with so many multiplayer games. I just don't want it to be such a commitment to git gud.

Much prefer to just get something I can immerse myself in, but still put down for a few days/weeks and not be missing out on important opportunities.

Any who, picked up Horizon: Zero Dawn. Going to playing it for a long while.

Yeah I think they fixed the peer to peer at some point. It's been great fun trying out all the classes and weapons after unlocking everything. Some are down right ridiculous.

Horizon Zero Dawn has my attention at the moment.

Beautiful visuals, solild gameplay and to my mind one of the most interesting sci-fi plots/stories I have seen in a while.

Yeah, i just started it today. Only played the opening and then got to go hunting for rabbit meat. Though the story already has me hooked. Looking forward to sinking my teeth into it.

I'm taking next week off (I didn't really have a break over Christmas) and smashing through Mass Effect. Hopefully it's at least as good as ME3.

I expect it will be. The internet has been dumping on Bioware ever since they became part of EA, but their RPG games, while certainly mainstreamed, are still really, really good.

Too many things!

Civilisation VI, World of Warships, The Division, Torment: Tides of Numenera, Forza Horizon 3, Battlefield 1, World of Tanks, and Magic Duels are probably the ones getting the most love. Ghost Recon is waiting for me when I get back home next week.

I finished a full run through of the Mass Effect trilogy again last week - I'd forgotten just how insanely hard the last fight in both 2 and 3 were. Being an Engineer maybe wasn't the best choice I could have made...

I nearly bought ghost recon until I discovered it's a pretty game with a Dynasty warriors style grind and a terrible story being funish if you have 3 mates to co-op with

Yeah I'm looking forward to hooking up with my crew. I've seen some of their clips and it looks like they've been having a blast.

I've also been playing Bayonetta (first one, but have the second to play through as well). I'm up to the last 2 chapters now.

It's a fun fighting game, but the thing I've noticed most is how gorgeous the enemies are in terms of design and overall look. It's the first game in a while that has really got me noticing their art, design and graphics.
