Ok, with but four weeks to go, I've really gotta start pulling my finger out. biggrin.gif

I've been searching for a replacement name, and have so far come up empty handed. So for this year at least it will be known as "Draco-con"

System: 40K (I knew I'd forget something)
When: February 26th and 27th
Where: The Galaxy room at the Renmark Hotel.
Cost: $35 if paid prior to the 21st, or $40 on arrival.
Size: 2000pts. One named character, IA allowed, but no superheavies, flyers etc.
Format: Three games on the Saturday and two on the Sunday.
Accommodation: Ample amount of cheap rooms at the Hotel (I forget the price... will find out).
Places: we have enough tables for 40 players (but can always find more )

That's about all I can think of at the moment...
Drop me a line if you have any questions.

You need to put up an attendee list and see what happens

sorry steve, i'll be on a honeymoon thingo but all the best wink.gif

just thinking with a lot of the old crew now married/with kids, 4 weeks might have been a bit tight when it comes to road trips but if you send posters to the adelaide gw's & call a few clubs you might be able to round up a stack of guys that way. also put a link in the 40k forum to this thread armata_PDT_01.gif

Sorry, would have liked to attend but less than a months notice does not give me time to arrange roadtrip due to family stuff etc - that weekend had been earmarked as a family weekend as nothing had been on calendar.

This thread was only just brought to my attention. Would loved to have come as I have family in Renmark but sorry mate, it's just too short a notice. Can you set a date for next year?

Unfortunately it just wasn't enough notice for me but if you run again next year (and give more notice!) I'll certainly try to get along.

Just curious, why the restriction on named characters?

Ok, this one was a bust... Work even rostered me on this weekend rolleyes.gif

Next year is definately a go though, which is not such a bad thing as we have been spared the horror of holding it in the Galaxy room of the Renmark Hotel.

Next year... A brand new tournament, in the renavated entertainment room of the hotel.

The weekend will remain the same... The last weekend of February, which will make it the 25th and 26th.

Could this date possibly be stickied in the events calender maybe?

Also, how much more information would people like about the tournament... An attendee lists was mentioned by Scott. Anything else (this is the first one I've organised from the ground up)?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated biggrin.gif

cheers guys.

Im already getting ready for next year Shippy. Should be one of the best if we can get all the old attendies in on it once more smile.gif

As for info what you had is fairly on the money. The attendie list, how the comp will be done (if any), painting (if any) what you can and cant take, how many games, time for games... think thats fairly much it.

Should be able to do the super ballarat bus trip once more too smile.gif
Forward to...

Contact Tom at SATournamentInfo@gmail.com for adding to the 40k events calendar.

Go to one of the other SA tournament pages and see what they do. Download a players pack or two as well.
