So this launched and looks like a lot of fun.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/116211...arc/description

Interesting that it is 15mm, but should work well for a board game

I love 15mm, glorious scale. This has been on my radar for a few months, and the minis are gorgeous, but I'm not convinced to back just yet. Really not that enthused about Kickstarter these days, and the long wait time until release is not appealing. Not bad value for what you get though, if they introduce enough variety of poses through stretch goals I'll reconsider.

That dragon though.

Dragon looks amazing and in scale it is huge.

I really like the options for the 2 modes as well, historical or heaven v hell.

Next stretch goals of bears and fanatics looking very interesting as well. Pretty sure I will end up on this one.

They've had at least one previous project completed it seems, and have been pretty active at a lot of trade expos and cons in the last few months promoting the upcoming kickstarter, seem pretty legit.

Do we have scale on the dragon compared to 28mm models.

Thanks, ok, relatively new, and thus medium risk, and their stretch goals are looking ambitious.

I'll look closer and see if I consider that they are over-stretching, and who is their production partner. SME's like Mantic and PSC have challenges with their production runs, and this looks very ambitious for such a new company, especially if the owners haven't worked elsewhere

This looks like a cool game with fantastic production values, though I'm not a fan of the theme or the period, so won't pledge for it, and yes, that dragon is cool.

I've changed my mind on this, I'm now a backer and once I see a confirmation of what is in the final add-on box set, I'll then decide how much extra I will pledge over the base cost, it's likely to be a lot though.

One of the things I'm excited about is that it has been confirmed that MG will like to create more "Time of Legends" Kickstarters set in different periods, I'm hoping for some Vikings!

The 15mm scale Griffon stretch goal that has just been achieved looks really very gorgeous wub.gif

It is silly and annoying that you can't link Kickstarter images to forums mad.gif

The miniatures in this Kickstarter are beautifully sculpted. I really don't like the latest add-on though, way too religious for my tastes, and the mini's just look really silly.

You should have seen the outpouring of religious nut-jobs commenting in the main comments section when the Apocalypse add-on was revealed, so many religious people, it was almost like I had walked into a bible study convention. One dude even got banned from the Kickstarter campaign because he was becoming incredibly abusive towards people about the judgement miniature and how it did or didn't look like jesus, and it is not even supposed to be jesus, apparently. I don't know, all this religious stuff is just crazy. Thankfully you can avoid most of it by avoiding that Apocalypse add-on.

I feel that if I was to go to a tournament or an organised game day for this game, that I'd be swamped by bible bashers. I almost feel like someone will be coming knocking on my door asking;

"I'm in the area looking for people to play Time of Legends: Joan of Arc, are you interested, and while we are playing, I can tell you all about the Lord"

This Kickstarter finished in the early hours of this morning, I was asleep.

It ended up with 9,987 backers pledging $2,152,285 in USD. I suspect that it is entirely possible that they will pick up another $1 Million USD during the Pledge Manager, as they are offering a heap of stuff to purchase other than what you could get during the Kickstarter, also, people will want to buy a heap more that they couldn't afford right now.

In any case, there are some beautiful miniatures in this Kickstarter, and a heap of them, and from reading the PDF beta rules, and from watching several gameplay videos and reading accounts of people who have played the game at various conventions, this sounds like a solid and very fun game!

Had just a couple dollars in the Kickstarter. Tempting to increase, may or may not do something with the pledge manager.

Looks pretty epic, I'd consider just for the Sultan riding a genie borne magic carpet!

From what MG are saying, there will be quite a few offerings in the Pledge Manager that weren't available during the campaign, things like alternate sculpts for some of the troops, as one example.
