As if I need to paint anything else. So with my daughter away for the weekend, and the house in relative calm, I sat down, pondered what I had left to paint and got to work.
I've converted most of my Asar to be city dwellers of Anubis. I started on Saturday and finished tonight, four ten man units. Two Asar champions/heroes and one Asar Harbinger of Anubis. Seeing I had the time, I spent a little more effort on the job than I'd normally give. I converted one unit of Anubis Melee to have a bow and quiver. Thankfully the bow arm from the Empire sprue came in handy, and my latest purge of plastic found a goodly quantity of quivers from the first plastic skeletons GW made. The Asar all had to have a little trimming and cosmetic surgery but the end result wasn't too bad. I made one of the Asar units equipped with polearms. The Asar Harbinger was the Osiris model, he got to keep his spear, but I used the spare anke arm (can't remember which model it came from) and shield as well as strapping on a quiver and bow. What else in on the table? One more melee unit for Anubis, then I'll look at converting the last of my Asar to either club armed Khemru supporters of perhaps Basti. -------------------- My ignorance amuses me.

Still surging ahead. I've converted on Asar Melee unit to "spiked" clubs for a Khemru city dwellers. The other unit was converted to city dwellers of Ptah. I've replaced the hand weapons with GW dwarf hammers. Keeping in theme with the little fellows of Ptah.
Two more units of Asar will go towards my Osiris warband. Then all I have to do is work on finishing the last of my Tethru. I've got one blister of Sebeki left and am looking at how the GW Ogre weapons will fit with them. I'm wondering if the belly armour might be used to good effect. Time will tell. The kids are back in the house so chaos reigns supreme. It might even slow me down. I know that people want to see pictures, and as I've indicated before I'm a Luddite when it comes to this new fangled technology. So you'll have to wait and see if some kind Samaritan comes to the rescue. -------------------- My ignorance amuses me.
