Hi all.

I will be running the Apoc tournament at MOAB this year on the 3rd to the 5th of October.

3,000pts will be the limit of the armies used.
1 army list will be used for the tournament.
No more then 1,500pts will be spent on Super heavies etc (the big stuff)
No more then 1 "D" class weapon per army.
No formations at all will be allowed.
Allies are allowed, but no hated enemies (see the allies matrix at the end of the Apoc rule book).
No "home made" units.
All GW "Apocalypse" units are allowed.
All Bell of lost souls units are allowed.
Flyers are allowed.

Troops will be the only scoring units.
A 1v1 game format will be used (no mega games with lots of players a side).
Objectives will be used for each game, each player will need to bring 3 each.
Army list and printouts of any internet (from the GW or BolS web sites) will be needed.

WYSIWYG is in play. Note there will be one exception to this. If you have weapons on a titan that are "D" class that take you beyond the "1" max rule, then the extra weapons can be "something else" from the weapon option on that titan. But these changed weapons must be marked with a piece of paper. wink.gif

Unfortunately the 1 "D" class rule undully affects the eldar who just dont have other options for weapons, so for the Eldar only they can have a max of 2 "D" class weapons.

I am hopeing for some larger tables, but at the moment the 6x4 tables are it.

Prizes are dependant on numbers.

1st place as per each of the missions (who has the most objectives at the end)
2nd place (See above)
3rd place (See above but is dependant on numbers)

Best painted
Best Painted Super Heavy (Depends on numbers)
Best Terrain (numbers dependant)

Best Sport

Please note, there is no "combined" score results, it's all about the missions. Best painted will be marked by me and will be awarded to the best looking non-place getter. Best sport will likewise be awarded to the best non-place getter.

Games, 2-3 for each day. I am being flexable on this simply because when the big stuff starts to blow-up, games tend to end very quickly wink.gif And the last day will be 2 games only. But becuase this will be a smaller event (not to many people want to play Apoc at tournaments for some reason) I will be very flexable on the amount of games to be played but basicly will be from 6-8 over the weekend, so be prepaired for a relaxed weekend of blowing stuff up! laugh.gif

Terrain, if you (the players) want to bring along some awesome terrain (some big stuff will be AWESOME as there will be titans around) then do it! And if we have the numbers, a prize will be awarded to the best one! The Club has some awesomely huge city terrain which will be used, as well as my cities of death biuldings, none of the tables will be bare.

The missions will be posted later, but nothing complicated I promice unsure.gif

If there is anything I have missed I will add it to the above.

Also, please note. If you want to play Apoc at MOAB then register. I will need a minimum of 8 players for this to run at all. Last year, I had 8 players but only 3 registered causing cancelation. So if you want to play, REGISTER!!!!!!!

With the Eldar 2 D weapons, is that for the army as a whole or just an exception for the Revenant Titan with two pulsars? I.E would someone be able to take a Scorpion AND a Vampire Hunter?

I'm assuming the two pulsars on a Revenant would count as 2 D weapons.

Initially, I was thinking purely of the Revenant titan, because it is simply an awesome model, and I didn't want eldar players who had one to be turned away because they couldn't field thier beautiful toy.

But then I got to thinking about it, just about all of the eldar super heavies are decked out with "D" weapons and they are awesome models, so I made it the only exception to the limit of 1 "D" class weapon. Ofcause the ballance with regards to the eldar is, the supers soak-up lots of points and are AV 12.

And most the other races have options for other weapons that arn't "D" class.

I know that by dis-allowing formations, I have cut the dark eldar out of the chance at a "D" class weapon, but, the amount of "cheap" dark lances scattered throughout thier forces will compensate.

And yes, you are right in assuming that the 2 pulsars would count towards the 2 "D" limit. So you have him, no more "D". wink.gif

2 players have registered, cut off is on the 23rd.

Note, we need 6 players to run this tournament.

Also, if you are worried about open tables, don't, as I have several tables worth of large terrain and MOAB also has a supply of tall biuldings etc that will be used.
