Well here goes,

Ever since the first Horus Heresy book came out from Forge World I've wanted to do a Heresy Era Army.... But for the life of me I couldn't decide which Legion to base it one. My quandary was simple I wanted an army that would work in both Traditional 40k and The Horus Heresy and having just finished 3000 points of Imperial Fists...Wasnt Yellow armata_PDT_08.gif . So after many months of thinking, changing my mind unsure.gif and my mates telling me to hurry the hell up I've decided to go Blood Angels.

My Eventual goal is to take the list up to 5000pts including a FW Thunderhawk but to begin with ill be doing up an 1850 list that I intend to take to a tournament in Brisbane.

So I bit the Bullet and placed my Order with Forge world for the beginnings of the Army and it finally arrived today!! Here's a list of what I've started working on,

- 10x Man MK4 Assault Squad
- Converted MK4 Captain
- Converted MK4 Librarian
- FW Stormeagle
- FW Dreadnought Drop Pod

Stay tuned for the first pictures of the army

I've wasted no time getting to it. I'm trying my best with this army to maintain high standard so ill be going all out on the everything. Well after a nights work this is the army so far,

First Up the Storm Eagle. To say this thing was warped would be the understatement of the year but after some persistent work in some hot water and a couple of burns its come together really well. Ive tried to create a decent scenic base with this model to give it a little more flavour and personally I HATE the + shaped flying stands.

Next up my two HQ's they both still need a few little tweaks here and there but I'm happy with the look of them so far. They will both be running around with my assault Squad so I wanted them to look mid combat. My Captain I just wanted to look Badass and nothing says 'I Mince Things' Like a pair of Lightning Claws and as for my Librarian Ill be doing some of that funny business with some wire to make it look like he is unleashing witch Lightning upon something near by.... or he might just be showing off

Lastly a Drop Pod.....
I've always wanted to build one of Forge Worlds Dreadnought Drop Pods after building like 20 of the Plastic GW one and it didnt disappoint... It was a B&#$H in total there are 14 pins spread through out it.. But it was worth it I foresee a love Hate relationship with this thing

Well that's it for now I'm about 50% of the way through my 10 Man Assault Squad just need to build up their bases then its onto some other fun things. As always any comments, advice are greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Jezza40k

Nice work. Your hq's look badass indeed.

I feel your pain ref the dread drop pod. Mine was a bitch to get together perfectly. Had a few issues with the resin not flush. Did U have those same issues?

You did well to get through the FW models. I admit I do not have the patience for them anymore tongue.gif

Looking forward to seeing more though!
