Hey guys I have a Fantasy Flight prize kit for the first season of Star Wars Armada. Considering this season is actually no longer available, and the new one is soon to start, I thought I'd put it up for prizes in a casual League to encourage play.

If you play at least one game in the league you are eligible for a prize.
Length of League is either 2 or 3ish meets... we'll see... it is casual.
Games must be played at Fraser Coast Gamer's Guild or Good Games Fraser Coast.
Games are any point size - minimum size is a single core set shared between the players (starter game size).
No limit to the number of games you can play, every game counts.
Report both player's names, the point size of the game, and the result to me.
I will work out a way to select the two finalists, and they will play off for the medal - its not likely to be random draw... but I guess it could be... its casual.

You do not have to register and there's no entry fee. Just be there, play, and report.

I'm in.

I am also happy to allow people to borrow my ships etc so they can run the list they wish to try. I have a core, and one expansion of each and two fighter expansions so lots of stuff to assist.

Given that Groover and I have been locking horns weekly to but around the rules I am happy to assist on points of contention as well if needed

ehemmm...Ami ? Have I missed the opening of your shop? Mind you ,the idea is a great one,but we will have to know a little more. You see,big games, that's over 100 points are played on 3'x6' fields ,over 120 minutes. Over 300 points on 3'x6' over 150 minutes, and no "Mission cards". So,you can play 3 games in the same time of one 400 points game......how will you, casually, work that out? Just me thinking ...being properly difficult again.....sorry..... unsure.gif

I've just grabbed their league suggestion from the kit, rather than their tournament suggestion. The idea of the first kit was to "gather your fleet" and really only the core was available for a portion of the season. So big games weren't really the intent.

A League will mean it can run over time too, considering theres finals for Dreadball, and theres Infinity to play, giving us unfocused mob a chance to play everything!

By taking all reports including point size, I've adjusted it to allow for those who want to play bigger games, therefore larger games can count for more.

I'm really just trying to encourage playing the game, with some prizes as an added bonus. When the new kit lands, and we're into the season at the right time - we might try something a little less casual, as people might be more into the game etc

The store isn't open yet - I just put that in there in case we're still going when it does, and I didn't want someone protesting further down the track.

....so.. on Saturday.with Buba dread balling,it would be you and me,Armadaing...right? If so, please pick a points value and a faction.....than I'll match it. And we are off....into the league.

Ami, your not doing this cause I said no to purchasing a copy?
Your sneaky tactics almost got me reaching for my wallet.
Must resist.

No mate, with the DBL games running from giggle time to flat out hilarity we did not get a chance with Armada.

I'm in Sydney this coming weekend, so make sure you record and PM your Armada games lads... Remember anyone who plays a game will get something from the prize kit. I'll use results to work out finalists to play off for the medal.
