Just to say a big thank you to all the TO's and to the 6 great guys I played. I've never had so much fun finishing 128th armata_PDT_37.gif

So after the wrap up and a bit of self reflection I came to the following two points

1) It's really liberating to just play for the fun of it and not worry about placings

2) taking an Imperial Knight even if allied with Sisters still makes you "That Guy" armata_PDT_04.gif

I had a great weekend, havent played much this edition at all and honestly expected to play filth all weekend, was nice to see that wasnt the case and all the armies i played were fun and of an appropriate power level.

The atmostphere was a bit different this year and I'm not sure why that was, but i'll attribute it mostly to the new edition. All things considered I had a great weekend and will continue to attend.

I think yours was one of the better lists with a knight, but still not over the top or anything, probably still a 2/5 comp wise (Y)

What a fantastic Arc that was!

The Top Hats have got the magic formula, every year is great, and yet every year is better. Arcscore was an absolute revelation, and Ben's missions were both funky and seventhy.

Mucho thanko!

M.

I would like to add my thanks to both the TOs and the players. I've had far less time to play over the last 18 months and it was such good fun to head back to a tournament and catch up with all the people I've missed. The event ran smooth as silk and Arcscore was great! The missions were fun and there were plenty of pretties to look at. I'm glad I had a good look at the Golden Barry entries, there was some stunning stuff!

I'd also like to add my thanks to the 6 great opponents I faced. A big thanks to Lloyd, Keith, Matt, Ian, Sean and Andrew. Thanks for helping me learn to play the new edition better. Also big props to Keith and Sean as the two Chaos Daemons players, your patience(with me asking questions) and bookkeeping was much to be admired. Admittedly it put me off playing CD but the professional way your wrote everything down was fantastic. armata_PDT_37.gif

Arc is exactly what I want from an event and this year was another amazing effort! I had a Blast and enjoyed all of my games thanks to having 6 great, relaxed and enthusiastic opponents!

I am already thinking about next year smile.gif

Cheers

I feel there was some big improvements this year compared to last year. Most notably there werent any duel helturkeys, serpent spam, or crop duster spam.

As a result I found games mucho re enjoyable to play smile.gif

Hey all, even though I didn't make the event, I would also like to thank the organisers and players.
Due to committments I haven't been able to make Arc or any tourneys since the last one M ran. (I still have the Fez in the painting room.)
That said, i enjoy the pre Arc build up a great deal. Modelling diaries kick into gear, lists get posted, mission packs abound, people get pumped.
Even from the side lines its a great day.
I am hoping that I may even make it next year, its been too long.

regards

Anthony

I only made it to the Saturday, but had a great time at the event - thanks to Dan for keeping the venue open late enough for some Apocalypse carnage in the Golden Fez game, and to the players, organisers, traders and OzPainters who made it well worth dropping by.

I'll definitely be back next year. This was my first of the Top Hats tournaments (it's been 11 years since I played at Arc40k, and probably 6 or so since I was otherwise involved at the event), and it was great fun.

I'll throw in my thanks in: All I can say is I came out inspired to start working on the army for next year IMMEDIATELY. I think that says it all really. Cheers to everybody organizing this for another great year!
