I am looking forward to this, but i have to ask:

Scoring Units: Only infantry from the Troops can score (except Tyranids). Troops spawned or created during
the game do not count as scoring.

so there is a bias against tyranids, jump pack blood angels, biker marines, biker eldar and any other non-infantry trooped lists? I wonder why? I only have infantry so it does not affect me, but I feel for those other players who like playing their armies without infantry troops!

oops I was supposed to edit that line out of the players pack before I uploaded it to Rankings HQ

Just pretend its not there for now Luke.

Phil was trying to say that only Troops who are not Vehicles could score, when he said infantry he meant models with Toughness and Wounds values, not vehicles.

I pointed out that players may read that the way you just did and that the rulebook itself was clear enough in that regards.

Excellent! this part is funny too

Tactical spacing
+ if you leave at least 2” between each of your units during deployment. (You are only eligible for this if you
have at least 3 units that are not starting the game in reserve.) Chaos demons must after their first turn, have at
least 8” between all of their units to qualify for this modifier).

Im fairly confident ive never quallified for this in any deamon game ever! LOL oh well!

- Codex: Witch Hunters (witch hunters can use inducted guard as per printed codex).

Assume Update?

Massacre: 20pts
Major Victory: 18pts
Minor Victory: 16pts
Draw: 14pts
Minor Loss: 13pts
Loss: 10pts

No Slaughtered result?

Points also seem very close and with 100% battle , not having a score that is 0 seems odd.

its technically no different to 0-3-4-6-8-10 (as opposed to 10-13-14-16-18-20). the difference is: its puts more emphasis on the primary mission over all the little 1 point bonuses. This scoring system works.

Then why not just have 0-3-4-6-8-10? having games where it's not possible to get a 0, while making peeople feel better, skews the results if you don't take it into acocunt when deciding overall percentages etc.

So in mission 5 you can chose any quarter (Doesnt have to be diagonal)?

there are no overall percentages. just battle.
having a massacre worth 20 and a bonus point worth 1 means the bonus points is proportionally worth less than if the massacre was worth 10. I believe this is what the TO is going for, it makes the primary mission more important essentially.

Im sure you still have to choose opposite corners, only the deployment zones will have changed. Thats my guess at least.

But it still makes no difference if you don't have a 0 result.

If I score a 20 when the minimum score is a 10, then there's no difference if I were to score a 10 and the minimum score was 0.

Essentially, using 10 as a minimum score just means that it's the new 0 mark. Since there are no other scores involved, it has no impact on the overall score and you might as well drop all the potential scores by 10.

So. Let's say I get 28 points and my opponent gets 10. That's no different to if I scored 18 points and my opponent scored 0. Haveing a massacre result only net you 3 bonus point for the secondary isn't affected either. Scoring 20 points for a massacre or 10 points for a massacre still limits you to +3 points for the secondary mission.

Hi Gents,

TO here for PURE GRIT. One of the packs that Brad and I were working on got uploaded. Our bad.

Luke is on the money regarding clarification of missions.

Mission 5 - opposite corners for deployments.

Scoring/contesting units as per the BRB.

Witch hunters and allies as per their current codex.

No slaughtered result.

Scoring stays as per the pack.

Phil

Interested.

With the IA allowed, going by the rules in imperial armour apocalypse second edition for units marked as 40k?

And if yes, two questions;
is a drop pod with the fins downwards in similar style to a open dreadclaw ellidgable to use as dreadclaw?
Hell Blade (chaos fighter) mounted on same base as valkyrie?
