with 8 levels only it dosnt stand a chance against AdvancedwarsDS II
though I did like the predator ramming an obiberator and an entire building killing him.

EDIT:
Mr THQ employer it needs more EXTRAs or content
Look at "borrowing" AW maps and archivement system or look at DisgeaeII random levels generator.
Apart from that thumbs up for making a tactical squad game

PC never. This is strictly a turn-based, hand held title. For PC action, Dawn of War is still going strong (see Soulstorm thread).

While I work for THQ, I'm at BlueTongue in Melbourne; I'm not involved in developing this particular title.

For those going to Arcanacon in January next year, we have THQ sponsorship, and will be giving away copies of the games on both platforms as well as sweet double-sided posters (Squad Command one side, Conan on the other).

Cheers,

Mark

Bad news, Runemaniac - all new characters coming in the new one. It looks hard-ass, serious and dark. Me, I liked the blend of antics and wargaming, ah well.

So much turn-based goodness around right now, and the PSP is warming up as the platform of choice; in addition to the 40K game, there's FF Tactics, Jeanne D'Arc (which is excellent) and Disgea coming soon.

Oh goody goody gumdrops! *crosses fingers for a DS version*

This is why Arcanacon is arguably the best Australian tournament, its not the massed players, awesome armies, varied missions or crazy sideshow stuff like arcanopocalypse, its the free giveaways! tongue.gif

the ds is getting the FF tactics, the 40k game and advance wars, panzer tactics and a few others i've forgotten. DS owns PSP (that all the other arguments we've heard!)..

I want DnD tactics though. Wish that came out on ds too.

1up gave it 4/10 which is the average score (unless they patch the combat which is the bread and butter stay away from this atrocity) I would recommend DisgeaeAOD If you missed out though DisgeaeII is far superior.

BTW Front Mission DS is out though I wouldnt recommend it. dosent even match the very solid FM2 a "skip" for me and most FM fans.

Dont write off the PSP its getting some solid games out now. And with the PSP Lite comming down in price to the DS it's getting some good sales. I might just "borrow" my friends PSP when command squad comes out.

I don't like the psp because of short battery life and fragile (too many moving bits). Homebrew looks kinda easy (lots of info on pandora battery and the firm ware reverter thingy)

Both consoles are worth owning, imho. I've just finished Luminous Arc on DS, and while I enjoyed it, Jeanne D'Arc on PSP absolutely owns it.

Word on DnD Tactics is it's pretty average in execution, but is a pretty faithful version of 3.5 rules - which is a good thing if you're a D20 player. For everyone else, best to avoid.
