Anyone interested in this game? I've been keen on a BFG type of game for a while. Not sure I want to continue to reward GW and Spartan Games get a good write up for the Firestorm Armada / Uncharted Seas games.

It's about $60 for a started fleet and probably $30 or so more to reach 600points. There are various races already populated and the miniatures are highly detailed and reasonably pleasant to put together. There are at least 3 races I'd consider based solely on the looks of them.

I'd only go for it if there was going to be some opponents milling about so just putting the feelers out there for the moment.

Anyone played or heard much about it?

Chris if you want to play with planes look at Aeronautica Imperialis, i have both books and willing to do a FW order smile.gif

Or we could play with all the shiny FoW stuff we have been painting....

No worries Leigh. FoW will get plenty of action. At the moment I'm hoarding systems in preparation for having no money and non time when the baby arrives in Feb. A space game would round out the set nicely. AI is expensive isn't it?

I dont think its that expensive, like i said i already have both books, the FAQs are downloads as are rosters, printing is free* so all you need is some planes. With the pound the way it is they are actually pretty competitive, especially since FW dropped prices a little not long ago. I sat down a while ago and worked out exactly what you needed to order to play all the starter missions from the books, cant remember where i put the list though, it wasnt going to be too bad overall. The planes are a nice size as well, i saw some at Monash last weekend when they were playing.

I'm more than interested! I just picked up the rule book, the cards and the Sorylian Collective starter. Probably going to get a carrier and some torpedo boats after xmass.

I love the fact you don't need to use their ships and they have a system to create your own cruisers and what not and use other models (BFG models for example).

Yep. It's a very smart move for anyone currently using shelf space to house BFG fleets. Just need the square based flight stands of the correct size and you'd be set.
