Forge World/OOP Predator Turret on a russ., Do you think it woudl work? Options

I have been thinking about putting one of these on a Russ.



That or one of these old ones.



Does any know if this will fit? or if its too small/large? Odd are I'll have to glue it to the base plate of the tank to get it to swivel but is that the only thing I'll have to do.

I just think it will give a more vintage look to the tank

Well I'm thinking this new kit they are coming out with might just sell the Turret so people can weapon swap. That or I just need to find someone who wants the rhino kit.

This is kind of the look I'm going for.




So I may even Stick it on a chimera Hull.

Lol that cool I need to save all my money for the Empire Release anyway, so I will not be starting it soon. It was just something I thought about before but got reminded because forge World just Brought out that new Turret. Unlike the last one I can actually use it as Russ's get plasma but not twin lascannons, this is if it fits.

Pred turrets look all kinds of win on Russ chassis. Do it.

They should slot right in, I think? Mine was a bit knackered by the time I Looted it.

Or you could buy an actual centurion from Warlord.

Out of the two turrets you posted I would go fot the OOP one because it suits the old school rivets and plates look of the Russ better.

No I want a futuristic Version of of a Centurion Just like my Catachan Valkyrie is a futuristic Version of a huey helicopter.

Yes I think I'll have to borrow a turret of each of someone and test it out. Once I find out what looks better then I'll for out the cash. Long term I want all my Guard to have a Vietnam war feel to it.

I just tried a current predator turret on a Russ hull, and the turret ring fits perfectly. However, this is an older bog-standard Russ - not entirely sure the new Russ hasn't altered the turret ring.

The newer Russ has a smaller turret ring than the previous edition

Oh that's Great I only have old russ's at the moment anyway.

Not that it would at all difficult to alter the turret so it can rotate in any case.

Yes I think that would be easy, just cut up the base of the russ turret. I was just worried that it might look to small or just really out of place.
