I'm really excited about this conversion.

Here is a shot of the longer howdah, big shoota on front. I've run out of super glue and need to get some cheap filler for the top of the squiggoth. I put it matt that has cm on it, so the squigwagon is about 18cm long.

damn that's one mighty fine looking squigoth you've got there, certainly looks the part now with the extra bulk and howdah.

I think this would be easier to spray, black first then pickout the skin . I might get restless and just paint by hand though! I will put on grot riggers and landing nets/ladders later

Love the army. the dipping seems to be working really nicely.

Did you find out what made the varnish crack? What a nightmare!

Cheers

I think they cracked because the dipping paint wasn't dry, or the cold temp when I varnished. Not sure but it hasn't happened again biggrin.gif

this is a really cool looking army. the squigoth looks great, would love to see some pictures of its middle.

i love the warphead, iv seen a few attempts at weapons held high shouting but never seen it pulled off. but i think you've done it with the warphead, keep up the good work.

Thanks LJ. The middle is just GS and I stamped it with a stegadon bit I had, sort of different size scales?

Here is is the painted squigwagon. Extreme highlights using green. It sort of suits I think. Lighting is terrible, but then so is my camera work. But hopefully you get the idea.

Base coated and dipped my 5 bikes. I tried to paint a banner from the 2nd edition codex (yes I use to have 2nd edition orks, I even had a pulsa rocket;-)

Working on the warboss at the moment. Almost all based coated and dipped whole army. Next detailing and highlighting....

An ork army does take a long time, and I must admit if it wasn't for the blog I would probably have stopped..

WB based coated and dipped.

Looks ok, He looks like he means business! just need to highlight etc. I've run out of scorched brown for the bases. Yikes amazing how much paint I've used on the bases.

2nd squigwagon on the go.

slightly longer, bigger howdah. Not sure how to put a deffroller on, so might drop the idea.

Need to make some nets for the boyz to get down on. I had a game and the wagons really work well , about the right size and look like they could take 20 boyz easy.

Looking Awesome, really like the individual flavour of the army and the squig wagons look great.

As for a Deff Rolla maybe something to do with the jaw of the squiggoth, where the first one has a few spikes maybe the second could have a few more nasties, like big buzz saws or something, so when he throws his tusks it does a lot more damage.

@ Ramirez, yeah that might work. Was sort of thinking about a spikey rock but couldnt work out how to attach it.

Yeah spikey rock would have to have some sort of crane apparatus or else held far back on the howdah and swing forward on a rope or something like a wrecking ball. Would make it look a lot like a one hit wonder, which given that it's a deff rolla could be an apt description.

I also had another though today at something strung between extended tusks or add to his front feet so he stomps on the enemy, kinda like the mumakil from return of the king.

Personally I would like to see a multi-level howdah. More room = more orky goodness. Cause With Feral Orks they might live on the squigoths so maybe an ork kitchen or toilet. smile.gif
