Hi,

Youngest son is of an age where 40K might be of interest to him so I thought I might starting pushing some lead with him.

The most recent rules I have are (I think) 5th edition, and I'm sure they'll be fine, but the last time I looked at 40K it was undergoing a similar revolution to Fantasy with free, downloadable basic rules so I thought I'd check them out.

Trouble is, I can't find them anywhere on the GW website. Were the free rules just a short term thing to act as a gateway drug, or am I having a senior moment and such rules never existed?
