Well , I've almost finished my deathguard, just waiting for a new dreadnought and psker to get me upto 2000 points worth. That should keep me happy regardless of army size. So whats next?
Well the idea is too make a slaanesh warband (1500 points) of just troops and a couple of HQ. Heres a quick list HQ: 1 Daemon Prince with a lash of Submission ; Mark of Slaanesh 1 Summoned Greater Daemon (just cos I want a FW GD of slaanesh) 16 Chaos Space Marines with 2 flamers & Mark of Slaanesh with an Aspiring Champion with PS 16 Chaos Space Marines with 2 meltas & Mark of Slaanesh with an Aspiring Champion with PF 12 Chaos Space Marines with a Lascannon Mark of Slaanesh 12 Chaos Space Marines with a Lascannon Mark of Slaanesh 12 Chaos Space Marines with a Lascannon Mark of Slaanesh 72 models. You get the idea, I have made a few mental changes but don't have an upto date list. So lots of slaanesh goodness running all over the place.... Its a modeling project that hopefully will be fun to play with and goood to look at. The modeling idea is to use a combination of a CSM and a Demonette model to make a slaanesh warrior. Have a look at a test one. ![]() So basically take 1 daemonette to make this model by cutting of shoulder, neck and thing that hangs down (cant remember name at the moment). Glue onto a CSM body and add a demonette head, claw and tail. I was a bit worried re scale but I think it looks ok. I have used the slaanesh shoulder pad from AC sprue. Not sure where I will get 70 of them from though  Mounted on a suitable alien type base .One issue is that I will waste a power load of daemonettes but I might be able to make some GS molds for necks and shoulders. In a deamonnete box you get heaps of arms and 14/15 heads. Paint scheme, I think I'll do a white, purple and black scheme a lot like the daemonettes in the daemon codex What do you think, or comments? ![]() This post has been edited by Magnus: Jan 31 2009, 04:13 PM -------------------- Bruce

you have made slaanesh proud Cheers mate, Slaanesh have always been my favorite theme in 40K I've made up some more girls , still need custom shoulder pads and green stuff icons etc. ![]() and some troopers that need more icons etc ![]() This is one made using the Demotte horn as a head, it sort of works. ![]() I must admit to seeing Sirath's white Tau and thinking very cool. I'm going to try white and purple/pink. I was going to make them all before a test paint, but I don't think I can wait. ![]() Next squad will be the dreadlock imitators of the Keeper of Secrets ![]() I just have to work out how to make the hair, thinking thin copper wire wrapped out thicker wire? The idea is to have a squad or two who worship the KoS and have tried to copy her...So horns and hair with spikes... Bruce -------------------- Bruce

These are some of my test models. Obviously not the finished article but it my give you an idea of what I'm after. I'm going to use a very limited Palette Purple, black, white, skin and red. Combined with lots of washes to get the final shade. not sure on infected base colors yet. May just do granite and skin tones a lot like the demo ones.
Red wash on white ![]() Black wash on white ![]() Blue wash on white ![]() all together ![]() I sort of like the red wash on white the middle figure . hmmm Feedback much appreciated -------------------- Bruce

I like the red wash. It looks more Slaaneshy, and that guy stands out from the other two when you out them together.

I just have to work out how to make the hair, thinking thin copper wire wrapped out thicker wire? The idea is to have a squad or two who worship the KoS and have tried to copy her...So horns and hair with spikes... If you want a ton of really thin wire find a PC someone has dumped and rip out the power supply, the cabling is made of bundles of really thin gauge wire. -------------------- |[TENABRAE]|40k|[Hive Fleet Dryad]|[Feral Angels]|infinity|[Yu Jing]|alkemy|[Aurlock Nation]|

Thanks for the comments
Hair is my first attempts at making some dreads. Bits of copper wire wrapped with cotton and then inked and painted. Model is will probably be replaced with a new one but the idea is sound. Idea is too have 2 maybe 3 squads of to these boys. ![]() ![]() Here is the same model with the moulded shoulder pad. Its off a old slaanesh banner. Its a small man.... ![]() Just playing around but I sort of like it! I must admit the head is a bit rough as well ;-) I'm on the search for some bare heads for these squads. -------------------- Bruce

Some more troops ![]() ![]() Some terminators with GD of slaanesh arms (you can still see the old red paint!) ![]() ![]() A new GD ![]() ![]() and my Slaanesh lord with a blissgiver ![]() ![]() I might have to start painting soon as I have no more excuses (apart from making some Lessor Demons) and some more troops to get the boys upto 2000 points. -------------------- Bruce

Where did you get that greater daemon? It's rather impressive Forge world, I have not put on the spikes yet or the dreadlock looking hair. I love the FW stuff. ![]() have a look at http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/ just make sure you hide your wallet first. I also tweaked my list a little, still non mech and lots of CSM spam 1 Slaaneshi Lord with a Daemon weapon ; Mark of Slaanesh 1 Summoned Greater Daemon 6 Chaos Space Marines terminators 1 H Flamer & Mark of Slaanesh with an Aspiring Champion with CF 15 Chaos Space Marines with 2 meltas & Mark of Slaanesh with an Aspiring Champion with PF 10 Chaos Space Marines with a Autocannon and flamer with Mark of Slaanesh 10 Chaos Space Marines with a Missile launcher and a flamer with an AC and Mark of Slaanesh 10 Chaos Space Marines with a 1 Lascannon and flamer 8 Havocs with 3 Missile launchers 61 models. I've dropped the Lash and taken a Lord just because you dont see many lords anymore. Its almost like every CSM army is lead by a DP. Well it been along time between post. Had a few problem with camera, took it too the beach and got sand in it and basically its buggered.
Oh well. Some base coating has been done... Some lessor damons, 3 different phases od daemonhoods, 1/2 body and claws. ![]() 2 claws ![]() 1 claw ![]() some troops ![]() I have moved on from the white paint scheme as I think its too bland. I will still do the NMM, and thinking of gold trim on shoulder pads ? No sure yet. might just do a contrasting blue or green? comments appreciated BTW I tried the citadel washes and I was quite impressed. They are heaps better than old ones. I still prefer my magic sauce but they are good for the first few coats. The foundation paints are great but no pink? -------------------- Bruce

I've had to expand to 1750 which my math says is about 18 Lessor D's I'm just playing around with the colors really Sirath. I got some army painter dipping paint today so will give that a whirl. PS .
