What time will you guys be setting up Jack? I might arrive early enough to help out, depending on what time I can leave work.

We'll probably be starting around 11:30-12pm or so.
There'll be setting up happening for several hours, though. Then shenanigans begin.

Matt Stanley, we shall finally end our deadlock grudge series with Mr Tumbles performing a merry jig over the crumbled remains of your army. Also beer. There will be beer.

indeed the ultimate stand off as we both have beaten each other with our UD armies, now we UD off, your clown models will limp back to the sewer they came from....

also correction, there will be horns of beer, many horns, I have dusted off my horn stein for this event

may we finally settle our deadlock and also hilarious decide best in faction tongue.gif

This is definatly on the cards mate!

Thanks all for another Great CA , had some great games against awesome opponents, got Simon Turner white girl wasted. The not so sneaky spew in the toilets during the minute of silence was gold.

Big thanks to fury and Will as always! , also to my assistant TO Dan Morgan, he kept the ship running straight when I was barely coherent by mid game 2 on Saturday. Congrats to Ak for taking out the event and winning CAMOMA for next year.

I'll post up the full results tonight, but for now here's our prize winners:
1st Akhter
2nd Bobo
3rd Ivan
Best painted : Trav
Best sports : Max
Wooden spoon : Tom
Lucky draw 1 : Lachy
Lucky draw 2 : Ryan

Thanks for the great weekend everyone! Ben, Matty, Dave, Lachy and Michael for 5 tremendously fun games, Ivan for putting up with my incessant #### talking, Simon for providing true Castle Assault spirit, Fury for being an allround champ and loveable bloke, Jack for running everything so well, Steely for enduring my borderline sexual assault on Saturday night, and to everyone for being such fun to be around and general top blokes. Hope to see you all at Cancon!

Thank you to my 5 opponents: Generic Shooting List, Corky, Mr. Red, Foodmonster, and Revelations. All were gents and best of all I had never played three of you before.

Thanks Jack & others involved for putting on the event.
Critique wise I only want to highlight two items:
- more terrain on tables. In 60 player turns myself and my opponents took a total of 0 dangerous terrain tests. Terrain pieces were very small in general (not a problem but if this is the case more would be better), except impassables which were massive and always shoved into the corners. I had hoped this would be improve over last year with the smaller number of tables but once again was like playing on Planet Bowling Ball most of the time.
- an earlier start on Sunday in order to actually have a proper break between round 4 & 5. I kind of enjoyed the lie-in and starting at 10am but when round 4 overran about half the hall realised they had 9 minutes to grab something to eat and had to buy Panic Kebabs.

Overall an enjoyable event and one which continues to be a cornerstone of the scene. Thanks again.

Thanks for the feedback Bobo, in regards to tables and terrain I do apologise as I personally set these up and will put my hand up for them being a little too open. Ill see what I can do in regards to terrain for 2018 BIV/CA and beyond and correct this.

In regards to the small gap between round 4 and 5 , ill look at starting 9.30ish next year giving us an hour for lunch and hopefully avoiding this from happening again.

Thank you for the response, Jack, it's nice to see you listen & care. smile.gif

Hugs,
Bobo

Ps: if it helps, in QLD we have got a set of 16 or so unique A5 terrain maps printed and laminated, from the T9A site I believe? Each table gets one on it and it's then up to the players to reset the terrain before each game. Leads to a variety of interesting setups played on and also consistency between rounds. Would highly recommend this to all TOs.
