new to the area just wondering if any one knows of any clubs around preston melbourne i play 40k warmachine malifaux and bat man

The club closest to you is in flemington , I'm the the president of it, its called WAAAGH

We play alot of tabletop games, we mainly play 40k tho, but some of us are starting to dabble in other systems

you can also find us in the vic clubs thread but we don't often comment on there.

club nights cost $5 if you play a game, but the first time you play its free.

we have a byo policy allowing people to responsibly drink onsite, this is mainly because we have no members below the age of 18.

membership is free, as we don't charge ppl for membership. you become a member by attending club nights and getting to know us.

80% of the clubs funds goes towards supporting a charity that runs out of the same venue

yeah there's 3 of us that try to play larger games. at;east 3k+

me and another guy called tyler whose not on WAU often play once a month, but there is another member at our club called Katrina, who has well over 20k of crons. she is always eager to play a large game.

we often play maelstrom missions instead on normal ones as we find the games are often much closer.

I got an airbrush this week so I have been finally able to paint my super heavies. im playing elder tomorrow night and tyler is playing daemonkin.

we both recently made a fw order, I bought a phantom titan and he got a chaos reaver, our aim is to get to game sizes of 10k, and both take a day off work and meet at the club clay from 9am Tuesday morning till late.

your collection of 5k chaos would be very welcome, what do you have in it?

it would be great if you can make it but no stress if not. I know Katrina is looking for an opponent for 1500pts tomorrow night smile.gif

yeah sorry just work gets in the way
my chaos has pretty much a unit of every thing
i enjoy 1500 points it forces you to think your way through it more
i had dark eldar and tyranids as well sold em because i simply dont have the time
id rather spread my time and money over a few different systems

Well your best bet is to post on the FB page to see if you can tee up a game on a Tuesday night. Next week is a roleplaying night so about 6 of the normal wargamers are playing dnd instead.

Axes and Ales meets in Preston on Thursday nights at Tallboy and Moose brewery.

There's a facebook group that most of us use to plan games, but a bunch of people who aren't on FB organize games in advance at the club itself, too.
