Hello everybody!

Just signed up and wanted to say a quick hello.

Been in the scale model hobby for a very long time and been into wargaming for some years (have been very interested in wargaming but only recently got around to playing!).

Starting to play both Flames of War and Lion Rampant. Haven't got a chance to have a first proper game of FoW yet but have had a few games of Lion Rampant with a mate which is a great game system. I am still painting up both my forces. As mentioned before I am into scale models as well so I am currently building the Hindenburg by Revell and started on the Columbus' Santa Maria wooden ship with my dad which is a very exciting project (never had a chance to build a wooden kit which is very different to a plastic one!). I also love making terrain!

As many of you would I do like to take a look and read up about other gaming systems.

The periods that I am most interested in are the following:
- World War 2
- Medieval
- American Civil War
- Napoleonic Era

Looking forward to contributing here and having a browse around the forum.

Cheers,
Stefan. biggrin.gif

Hi! Welcome to WAU smile.gif

If you're into WW2 modelling, have you looked at Bolt Action? It seems to have a lot of people playing it at the moment.

If you have some model or terrain projects underway and feel like sharing some photos, we have a modelling diaries subforum which is always good for finding inspiration and feedback.

Nice. Another historical gamer. You'll probably want to check out the historical forum page as well. armata_PDT_34.gif

Lion Rampant's a fun game played solo as well. biggrin.gif

Nap's got a diverse tabletop following here from Black Powder to FoGN to AWRG. Empire, Shako, DBN 2.1, the list is as vast as the period.

Agree with morsla that Bolt Action is the 'biggie' for WW2 gamers in the 28mm scale. FOW pretty much rules the 15mm roost. Some of us, though, play Rapid Fire II using 20mm.

Thank you for the warm welcome!

Located in Melbourne. Hoping to get in a few FoW games somewhere. I know a few places that play it but I am purely a beginner!
