So it seems that while there are a decent number of people with Malifaux crews in Brisbane, there isn't really alot of regular gaming going on. Ausplosions and I are at Ace Comics Annerly every Wednesday (along with a few others on occasion) and there's usually a few games happening at the Blind Pig, but I'm not aware of much more.
I'd like to change that. Right now, I'm thinking of applying to Wyrd to become a Henchman and start running a gaming League, followed by a few actual tournaments over the year. The only catch is that I've got my first daughter due in two weeks. I should still be able to devote some time to running events, but I might need some help on occasion. What do the other Brisbanites here think? Would you be keen on seeing some more Malifaux events in the area, and is anyone prepared to help me run these things now and again? -------------------- Brisbane Malifaux at Ace Comics every Wednesday!

I'll help where I can. We've had a reduction in players attending if late and I'd love to see more people coming along/taking up the game.. -------------------- Exellent I'll shave the goat and warm up a vat of liverwurst. I couldn't commit to a regular league but I'd be mad keen on one of tourneys. Only just started Malifaux about 6 weeks ago and really enjoy it. Got a mate that would be keen too.

If you're ever up for games, just pm me, got terrain at mine, plus there's always ace comics. Good to hear there are few more malifools out there!! -------------------- Exellent I'll shave the goat and warm up a vat of liverwurst. Let me or other Piggies know what help you need to run events.... Bec Oh don't worry, I was hoping to have a chat with you tomorrow anyway. I couldn't commit to a regular league but I'd be mad keen on one of tourneys. Only just started Malifaux about 6 weeks ago and really enjoy it. Got a mate that would be keen too. The sort of league I'm thinking of doing is called an "Acheivement League". The idea is that you score points not for wins/losses, but for fulfilling a list of achievements. For instance; - Play a 30SS game (1pt) - Play a Brawl-sized game (2pts) - Paint a 25SS crew during the league (4pts) - Win a game after all of your models have been killed/sacrificed. (2pts) - Your Master is killed after flipping a black Joker for their duel or damage prevention flip (1pt) - 1pt per unique Scheme acheived during the league. There'll be a prize for whoever scores highest and another for a random participant, so it should encourage people to build up their crews and have fun playing games, rather than pinning everything on "TEH WIN!!11!". In other words, I'm hoping it will be the sort of thing that people don't feel they need to commit to each and every week. Tournaments - yes, definitely. Right now I'm thinking two events, one mid-year and one late. I'd just need to sort out the location and day. And prize support and terrain and advertising and format and whatever else, but Location and Day is probably a good start! -------------------- Brisbane Malifaux at Ace Comics every Wednesday!

Also, it might be worth popping this up in the Blind Pig forum,. Wyrd forums, the Pig Facebook page, and the QUGS Facebook page.....
Just to drum up interest from alternate places, as not all gamers come here.... -------------------- Exellent I'll shave the goat and warm up a vat of liverwurst.
