Data slates and forge world are welcome but you'll need to be able to use them from the start, as a result this will rule out a pure knight army.

Knights are very cool and normally I would welcome them, however as they are such a change to the normal game I think it's best for this tourney to not have the knights until players have had a chance to get used to them.

So to clarify: forgeworld lists and data slates are a yes if they are mantained throughout.
Knights, sadly, no for this tourney.

We will not be using mysterious terrain or objectives for this tournament.
You will require 4 army lists done pre-tourney, one for each game. How you present them is up to you and do not require checking by the TO.

Scenarios:
Game one. 250 points
"Suicide squads"
Hand picked as the finest for the mission, or just who happened to be nearby at the time, your elite commandos have been charged with capturing vital enemy data from a secure location. Near impossible odds, small chance of success... What are they waiting for?

As per  'Battleforce Recon' mission, page 362-363 main rulebook and the objective rules from the "Relic" mission on page 131.
4x4 board.
A single RELIC objective .
Six turns fixed.
The Warlord is the character (model with character rule) with the highest Ld. If there are no characters in your force nominate a model from theses with highest Ld as your assigned leader for the game.

Every model counts as an independent character as of the deployment phase, ignores unit coherency, etc. This means you buy units as squads in your list and then split them up upon deployment.
Although this appears to be a 'kill team' mission it will follow the rules on page 363 and 131 so everyone has access to them.

Game Two. +250 points
"Battleforce Recon"
Now dubbed as heroes by their peers, command has deemed your team worthy of a little more  support and firepower.
Geared up and ready for a fight your men are to enter enemy territory and destroy multiple targets, and if a few enemies die along the way? All the better.

As per  'Battleforce Recon' mission, page 362-363 main rulebook.
4x4 board.
Two primary objectives worth 2 points each per player.
Six turns fixed.

Game Three. +500 points
"Hold this location at all costs!"
With each success your force racks up the more warriors flock to their banner. However they have made some powerful enemies, and they just showed up. With extraction not for hours your men must defend their location, whilst sabotaging the enemies.

As per 'The Emporer's Will' mission, page 130 main rulebook.
6x4 board.
Vanguard strike deployment.
One primary objective each.
Variable game length.

Game Four. +500 points
"The Last Stand"
Even heroes die, but a true hero dies a glorious death.
The enemy hoards are coming, the sound of their approach is deafing. Your men men will be victorious or fall atop a pile of the enemy dead.

As per 'Purge The Alien' mission, page 127 main rulebook
6x4 board
Hammer and Anvil deployment
Varible game length.

Tournament scoring:

Maximum score of 120 points broken down as such.
Gaming (80 max):
20 win
10 draw
1 loss

Painting and Army (20 max), TO done in round four when whole army is availible:
5 Minimum Three colours and based
5 Detailed (Unit markings etc)
5 Themed (Is there a clear colour scheme or army selection that makes a theme?)
5 Painted yourself

Sportsmanship (20 max) points peer awarded per game.
5 This guy rocks, no arguments, no worries. I'd play again for sure.
4 Good game. A couple of rules queries.
3 Fair game. We had to check the book or dice off over somethings.
2 Meh game. Lots of rules contentions, not a fun army/player to play.
1 Thanks for the game. I'll not be playing this army/player again.

If I play 50 pts down round 2 can I add 300pts for round 3 ( eg. I want to take a landraider?)

Round three gives you +500 points, enough for two land raiders.
As long as your previous army list had the required 1hq and two troop you could field it without having to change the points system.

But should it matter, points cannot be underspent in one round to get them added in a later round.
The points system are added to each previous list, so it is advised to spend your rounds points as fully as possible.
