After a game tonight having a chat with bhr, we cant find substantial evidence as to how many wounds ork warbikers have 1 or 2 wounds. Gw have stuffed up the faq, only changing nob profile from 2 wounds to 2 wounds. Wtf. Latest printing of the book has the regular warbikers as 2 wounds in 1 reference and 1 wound in 2 references.

My books stuffed too. However common sense says ork bikers have one wound, ork biker nobs (or nob bikers) have two.

Have to concur with this one. SM bikers only have 1, so why would orks be any different? RAI sure its one wound in all aspects, but RAW its a major grey area and comes down to the TO making a decision about it. Iron general 1750pts in august, the TO has ruled that they will be 2 wounds, so is there anything concrete to say otherwise? The FAQ updates a page where it says nob bikers only have 1 wound.

Standard ork bikers only have 1 wound. Going by what? The faq doesnt touch on regular wqrbikers, just the nobs. The current printing of the codex has 2 different profiles for the REGULAR WARBIKERS. Now im not trying to gain an advantage for me and stacey. If the TO wants to judge them as having 2 wounds then kudos to him and ill have fun running 2 wound warbikers to show him its stupid. I would much rather have something more solid than RAI when trying to convince him they have only 1 wound. I want it ruled the way of RAI, but because hes a GW staffer trying to convince him to go RAI is like getting blood from a stone. It will always be down to the TO.
My line of argument would likely be along the lines of "there are 3 places with the statline, 2 for 1, 1 for 2, so by going with the majority (as 1 typo is more likely than 2 identicle) we have a wounds value of 1. |

there are 3 places the profile is listed...
the bestiary, describes the rules for the unit the army selection, gives you points costs and options for the unit the summary, summarises the bestiary as far as i am concerned, the proper profile listing is in the bestiary JoD -------------------- 4 Sharp Whistle Blasts!!

DeffKoptas have 2 wounds. Maybe that's something you get for the extra 10 points.

It does seem foolish that GW has done a reprint of the Ork Codex and they stuffed up the stat line correction. (hhhehheehe /sarcasm)
I haVE copy of the ork codex from the original printing. It has the Normal bikers as 1wd and the nob for the bike squad as 1 wd. The currnet and past Errata and FAQ had a correction that says the Nob for the bike squad should be corrected to 2 wds (instead of 1). That makes sense. The latest printing of the codex has both the bikers and the nob now as 2wd. This seems to be a correction error by the editor. Ork bikers are however a bit behind the power curve compared to the cost and stats of other biker units. Perhaps it was and incentive to get the Ork Bikes selling, pehaps it was just a tired GW editor cutting andpasting badly. My codex has warbikers at 1 wound in all the places. the FAQ says that the nobs are 2 wounds. Therefore my reading is that normal bikers have 1 wound, the nob upgrade has two and normal nob bikers have 2 wounds.
