Hey guys, I'm back.
After saying goodbye to all things GW I've been searching for a game to fill the void, and I think I've found it in Warmachine/Hordes. I'm planning on running a few different forces mainly because I love almost all the models, But I'm starting with Khador so here's my progress on the first battlebox.. Complete pSorscha: ![]() ![]() WIP Destroyer: ![]() ![]() ![]() WIP Juggernaut nicknamed "Juggalo": ![]() Going for the 5th border legion because I really don't like all that red. I'll try and keep this updated as I go. C&C welcome. Thanks for looking Bam. This post has been edited by Bam-AoD: Jun 27 2012, 12:36 AM -------------------- |

Sorscha looks great! Love the glow effect on her eyes!
Really looking forward to seeing a whole army of them painted up -------------------- Likes orange.

I really like the olive green with red as the contrast colour. Gives a nice "in Soviet Russia..." feel to the whole thing.

Thanks Magos_Kasen, Hopefully I'll be patrolling her borders soon
Thanks BoBo Thanks Lachy, I searched for ages to find a colour scheme I liked on them, I can't stand the traditional red. I haven't been painting of late, had way too much to do. But hopefully I can get into it again and get the battlegroup done before more things arrive. Hopefully some time next week I'll have new additions including: Harkevich and the Butcher, Thanks to Kosick in the buy, swap and sell thread. The 2 player battlebox (2 'jacks, pSorscha and 5 man'o'wars) from Luke at Phoenix-Forge Another battlegroup and winterguard artillary (along with a nice force of Cygnar) from Jester of Death also on the Buy, swap and sell. At some point I'm hoping to have a starter painted up for each faction in warmachine/Hordes, in order to give people in the area Demos with actual models instead proxies. -------------------- |

Finally finished my first Warjack, Haven't hit him with varnish yet because I'm not 100% on the eyes.
However I did hit him with a bit of weathering, no chipping just oil, rust and verdigris. ![]() ![]() ![]() Decided to go with russian on his shoulders. "Fifth" ![]() "Bang" ![]() I'm really happy with how he's turned out, took a lot longer than expected. When I do Varnish him I'm going to try and seal some snow flock on his uppermost armour to simulate snowfall, I just have to hope it works. Bam. -------------------- |

Small update:
The Khador part of the 2 player battle box is built along with a wardog, Also had The Butcher and Harkevich arrive in the mail (Thanks again Kosick), so once I have more glue I'll be able to put them together. Will make a start on a Man'o'war later tonight and hopefully get some pictures of progress if I can steal the girlfriends phone. Bam. Okay so a bit of an update, I haven't been doing much other than basing and playing games, so far I'm at 4 wins and 2 losses.
This is my WIP Winterguard field gun grunt. ![]() I'm going with red gloves on these guys, kind of as a nod to Metal Gear Solid 3's Revolver Ocelot And I've been working on Cygnar that traded for not long ago.. ![]() ![]() ![]() He's not my best work, but I'm happy with him. The base is trenchworks, I'm pretty happy with the mud on it and his cloak/boots. Thanks for looking guys, Bam. -------------------- |

G'day all,
So after a lot of procrastination I finally finished the last 'jack in the battlegroup. Juggalo ![]() Went with russian again on the shoulders, but painted it a little too close to the edge so its hard to see, this one has Legion and the other side has Fifth like the last 'jack. ![]() Rear shot. ![]() Axe detail, I'm pretty happy with this. ![]() And the finished battlegroup. ![]() All in all I'm pretty happy with these guys so far Bam. -------------------- |

Really nice work here mate, well done. In particular I like how the MOW has finished up, the colours work really well.
Karchev conversion looks great, but not sure about the Ork looking thing on the shoulder. The savage element of it suits him but even for Kharchev its a little messy. The upward spikes look good but the plastic card (?) sticking out to the side like teeth might be better trimmed off to be neater. Just an idea, its looking really good as is and once you have the pipes on its sure to look the part. Might pay to do something to his axe too to distinguish it from a typical Warjack weapon. Again, I really like your choice of colours. Well done. -------------------- "I always look for a woman who has a tattoo. Fingolfin, Shoots McG & Lextheimpaler: Thanks guys
Kosick: I've been thinking the shoulder pad was a little too orky myself, I have been thinking about sclupting over that part to make it look like the rest of the chassis, but haven't tried it due to my )lack of) greenstuffing skills. The axe is tough, I've been thinking about taking another Destroyer axe head and glueing it opposite to give him a double-headed one, I'm just not sure about wrecking a 'jack to do it. Thanks for the C&C guys, It's very appreciated. If there's something you think I could be doing better, don't hesitate to tell me. I've been trying a few new things on these guys and any criticism is helpfull. Bam. -------------------- |

I'd just trim and file it back so its in line the shoulder line of the chassis, it would be a lot easier than green stuffing. Keep at it with the axe mate, I'm sure you'll come up with something. Point of reference, you can buy the Kharchev axe for $2.50 from PP store and international shipping to Aus is $6. Or you can always just use plastic card and green stuff and sculpt your own. -------------------- "I always look for a woman who has a tattoo.
