Hi everyone,
Mechanicon IV will take place on the 27th and 28th of August 2011. I will again be TOing and the format will be similar to last year, 5 games at 1200 pts. Places will be capped at 50 with the previously used veteran system ensuring spots for those that have supported us. Last years winner will as always receive a free entry to defend his title. Unfortunately the RSL is not available this year so early in 2011 we will be confirming a venue. Registrations will open in May and a players pack will be available by this time with all details. Veteran list - these players will have reserved spots so will not miss out, however if unable to attend we ask them to let us know once players pack is out. If they are not financial (ie paid) by 3 weeks (subject to any other arrangements being made) before the event their spot will vacated.

Once we get past Mech V veteran will sit at 5 attendances so those that missed one will only be a year behind on earning their five year service stud and reserved entry.

Lol, I wonder if interstate travellers should be able to get extra credit towards their veteran status - getting over for 3 Mechanicons ought to be almost as good as a local who attends 5...
Anyway, count me in for this one, the first Mech I went to was a blast. Do advise if there has to be a date change. We did consider that, but Mechanicon has run in August for some time now, and due to personal reasons we wanted it to stay in August. Southern Inquisition is usually and has been for a long time run in September, so we were surprised to see it had moved. Also, I think Southern being a 1 dayer that does not usually attract long-distance travellers, and Mechanicon being the larger event that it is, there wont be too much of an issue having Mech the weekend after. -------------------- SA 40k Tournament Information Database

As Tom said Mech was last weekend in August last year and so will be the same. It is also scheduled with consideration of spacing to large interstate events to help attract a quality field. Unfortunately with other events moving it means less space than would like but beyond our control.

I will be TO for Southern Inquisition so will be rarin' to get some tourny games in the next week. I do not know the reason for the date change for Southern inquisition - I must ask Mike when the club reopens on 9/1. |
