Great stuff...

Really liking the different proportions PP are taking with the colossals - not quite so top heavy which has always jarred with me.

Hopefully that will wash down to general Warmachine design?

It hasn't already? The plastic jack kits are much less top heavy.

The 360 of this model has changed my original perception of it; its pretty awesome smile.gif

Are they? If they are, it might not be enough... I guess i'm looking more for the traditional Mechwarrior style where the legs are (by necessity) as beefy as the top... longer and more in proportion?

Mechs spend more of their time darting around cover and engaging from long range, though... with long-range lasers, PPCs etc they don't have to withstand a whole lot of overhead swings with axes and hammers.

lol, they are steam punk robots... i think the top heavy look suits the genre. one of the joys of fiction... it doesnt need to look like it can do what its designed to, if it did all of the warhammer and 40k models would also get sucky points by that analogy.

Khador's larger warjacks have a combat operating time of something like 45 minutes. This thing must last like, 20 minutes.

So a stormwall powered by electricity would only need to draw out a fight for half an hour to win.
