Hi all.

I'm Ketil, I'm a sculptor based in Adelaide. I have been lurking here for abit now and I thought I would start a thread to show off some of my sculpts.

I will start with this one. A couple of weeks ago Styggr Bláskegg posted a cool bit of artwork, I loved it so much that I did a sculpted of it. This was fun to do, specialty working from artwork.

You can all see more on my blog.

This is great! Love the textures on the wooden shield and the beastman's fur.

Thanks, glad you like it. The wood grain is something that I just developed, I was tracing out the grain with a pin before, but I decided that it looked too cartoony. And the fur was just laborious.

Hi all I have been trying to make enough goblins to have a decent size unit without too many doubles. I thought I would show you all a family photo.

I tried to add this as an embedded pic but it's a really wide and looked weird.

You can see some closeups and WIP hear.

I love the chaos beastman 👍🏿👍👍

Your barbarian shows where you could do a little more work referencing photos or examples of muscular men ( I bought a muscle magazine many years ago,for exactly this reason) and perhaps even doing some preparatory sketches to,get proportions right.

I absolutely guarantee that if you do,5 full sculpts of nude barbarians from start to finish before moving on to a new one, your sculpting will improve because of it.

That said, I still like him - he has old school charm 🙂

Thanks man

He was one of the first humans I did after a long run of goblins and it shows. I have to get better at having my references in front of me, its too easy to have them on my computer which is about 4' away from where I sculpted.
