Heya fellas!
Was just wanting to let peeps know that for those who are playing in the warmachine journeyman league at Good Games Newcastle, while the first week starts on FEB 23RD, you can start painting your mini's NOW. You can also swap your battle box caster out from the 3rd week if you REALLY want (tho why people would complain about having to use sorscha is beyond me ;-P ). if anyone wants to play retribution of scyrah we can talk about your 'battlebox'. Link to the journeyman league is here: http://privateerpress.com/organized-play/leagues/journeyman-league-rules
If you are not in the league yet, there is still time at this posting! This league will be a great time to get into warmachine or hordes and to build up a force in some easy steps. Official 'league' nights shall be Tuesdays and Thursday nights at GGN. Tell everyone about it! Should be some good fun!

Damn straight. Just don't expect my usual paint work this time round. The Mormons are getting purely functional paint job that is focused on speed more than anything else.

BTW, Kreoss is almost done!

Hey Marty,
What is the battlebox for Gorten?
I can't seem to find one for him, and the one in the pdf only adds up to 8 points, is that right?

Should I add in another gunner to make it 11 points and around the right level?

The gorten battle box is 3 gunners and a driller. My understanding is that (with the exception of the cryx box which flat out has heaps of points) the JACKs should all equal about 15-16 points and then the caster takes it down when you factor in their wjp. Gorten with his 'smaller' jack group (15pts?) and his larger amount of bonus points can look a little small force wise but I think it's a seriously dangerous little group :-)

The official PP Journeyman Leauge rules do outlay battlegroup options for those factions that don't have them.

Retribution: Kaelyssa, Manticore, Griffon, Chimera
Mercs: Magnus, Mangler, Renegade, Talon
Mercs: Gorten, Driller, Gunner x3
Merc: Broadsides Bart, Maeriner, Freebooter, Buccaneer
Minions: Lord Carver, War Hog, Gun Boar x2
Minions: Barabas, Blackhide Wrastler, Ironback Spitter

On a side note, the battlegroups for both Magnus and Gorten were dictated by the old (ie: you cannot get them anymore) battle group boxes that PP use to do for these casters.

It does indeed. The 'week' will always start on the thursday. Tuesday is the extra day for catching up on battles. It also means that you dont HAVE to play warmachine on thursdays and still do the league smile.gif

That should be fine mate.
Remember that it you can't make the Thursday, you have the following tuesday set aside for league gaming as well to get a catchup game :-)
I'll send off for the patches in week two when the players are set.

Great start to the warmachine Journeyman League last night. 10 people in on the night and hopefully a few more will join this tuesday. On that note, if you were wanting to take part/start warmachine or hordes and couldnt make it last thursday dont dispare!! this tuesday is the second official day of week 1 and some games have already been tied up! fee free to come and sign up!

i have made the decision that the mximum games you can play in a week for it is 5. its a goodly number but not undoable if you are keen. some peeps are already up to 4!
....and it was only played for 3 hours so far!!!

You and your stupid 5 game limit, I want to play like 10-15 battlebox/15 pt games a week to get a tonne of game points before we moved on to the slower, larger games. Damn you and your not allowing us to game the system.
