Hey All,

Love the possibilities of Multi-basing and diorama-hammer tongue.gif . But foresee some issue with travel and packaging.

Can you please share your current or proposed solutions for transporting multi-bases, esp regiment or horde sized units?

Cheers smile.gif

I've found blutac'ing the bases to the container / case, then packing in a Sh*t tonne of small bits of soft sponge cut up into the container to ensure there is no movement, no matter how you throw that container around, seems to work well. I've only flown with an army a few times but haven't had an issue yet. Only annoying part is the unpack armata_PDT_02.gif If it's only for a car trip then blutac'ing (or if you want to be more classy you could magnetise) the bases to the bottom of whatever carry case seems to be sufficient.

Thanks Benny,

So size of carry case? Its what you use to move the army about at tourneys as well?

Yeah I use the same cases for use at tourneys, means they're good to go (except for the foam if you're flying) In terms of size will depend on your army, my EOD take up half the space my Orcs do.

I use storage boxes, with a dab of blu tac under the bases to stabilise them.

This one is particularly good because it has removable partitions, allowing some flexibility. My wife got it at the reject shop years ago, so not sure where to find it now.

For metal solos and war engines I use a shoebox with square cut foam inserts.

Cheers gents.

That gives me something to work with.

Follow up: do you take these on public transport? Or drive to events?

When Driving - big plastic storage container.
When flying - I've not multibased yet - so packed up into a warmachine case. when that is done, not 100%, would be looking to stick/magnitise units to the bottom of a toolbox I would imagine.
