WargamerAU Forums _ 40k General Discussion _ How does this fit in with the 40k story?

With the Primachs being released, I've picked up a Roubout mostly to have thematic battles with my mate who loves the return of the primarchs and his Magnus.

Up to this point the only thing I like about their return is Magnus' incredible hair. He is darn fabulous!

But I had an idea, I could paint up and possibly do some minor coverting to make Captain America Marine to be from the legion of the damned.
So he did die (or this one did, from whichever dimension the Legion actually come from) but he gets to storm in like ghost rider and smash some things.

Silly idea?

I have no idea.

But curiously how does the rowboat do against Magnus on a one to one combat?

Magnus would be smashed pretty much every time. But Guilliman would never catch him.

Fluffwise Magnus can and does butcher Guilliman while simultaneously slaughtering an entire army of Grey Knights, Imperial Guard, various space marines, sisters of silence, custodes and Eldar
And that's with his psychic powers blocked....hence my dislike of anything Primarch related. It's your typical super hero/villain situation where an individual drops in and is invincible and the only thing that can fight him is another super pleb.

Gamewise Rowboat would mash Magnus if they were actually in combat. Reality Magnus would just fly around and strength D things off the table.

Well, with Magnus' powers blocked, Guilliman was giving Magnus a good whooping in the Rise of the Primarch book.
