Just putting it out there that I'll be organising an Historical tourney in April 2015. Interim details outlining the scope of the event can be found here.

Kindly register interest here. Please note that numbers will be small so that everyone receives a prize for showing up.

Cheers.

If this event goes to a two-dayer (as it may now do) and any out-of-towners are interested and looking for a billet, I have 3 spare bedrooms and a mancave. All you have to do is pay for your own meals and drinks.

EDIT: 1220 hrs
Post edited
EDIT: 29 Jan 1134 hrs
Amended TPP (version 2a) now out. Error in RESTRICTIONS. Should now read: Can only cross the stream via the bridge in GS 1. and thus it now matches the objectives listed on the scoring sheet. Also corrected this error in the Table Layout for 10-18mm document. Cheers.

EDIT: 30 Jan 0939 hrs
Two new tables have been included in both the TPP and appropriate table layouts: Thurangia and Potolsk. Both are the mystery scenario tables and will be activated on Day Two of the event.

UPDATE: 04/02/2015 2118 HRS
==============================================================
EDIT: 8 Feb 2127 hrs
VISTULA
Open terrain. The stream is now active and can be forded but you have to find out where. Infantry and cavalry may only cross at the ford but artillery treat crossing at the ford as difficult.

The ruling about intercepting units is mentioned in the General Discussion but worth expanding. The issue with units intercepting an enemy charge is not the issue but the sequence in which it's played. Unit A charges Unit B. Unit B must react directly to threat, not rely on Unit C to respond for it instead, even though Page 32 states that ....The original target of the assault does not have to make any of the otherwise compulsory tests for being assaulted if all the assaulting units fail to make contact because of an interception...."

This only happens later when you have the option to exercise your choice to intercept, and thus save your mate. Play the proper sequence.

BOHEMIA
Modification to the reserve ruling. Again this was mentioned elsewhere but being repeated here.

Reserve force must be a division of at least 100 points. The division must be led. You now have the option of playing deployment of your reserve either by rolling a D6 to determine the move in which they arrive, or using the Reserve deployment ruling (p35 in the main rulebook). Choose one or the other before game begins. And both players must agree.

Should you choose the simple D6 roll, you need to familiarise yourself with what follows. Firstly, when your division finally arrives, you may place your division leader anywhere along the forward edge of your initial deployment zone. His placement is the centrepoint for your reserve. Subsequent units of the reserve may only deploy behind that forward edge in a corridor 6 MU wide either side of the commander.

Only thing to be aware of is that you cannot deploy any of your reserve units any closer than 3 MU to an enemy unit already on the table.

This modification was added after it was found that the reserve would not have time to reach the objective before game's end.

All these changes will be part of the updated TPP, to be made available in due course once all the scenarios have been checked for problems and/or defects. armata_PDT_14.gif
