I know we're all fond of a bargain, but try to avoid using G2A if possible. Indie game devs are actually posting that they'd prefer people to pirate their games instead because it's cheaper for them.

https://www.pcgamer.com/developers-tell-peo...d-of-using-g2a/

The short version is legitimate keys are bought using stolen credit card information, sold on G2A for practically nothing, and then the developers are forced to recompense the credit card holders. It costs them enough time and money to correct a crime they had no hand in that outright theft preferable.

I’m just confused why it’s the Indie game developers who are the ones being forced to refund the credit cards.

They don't have/can't afford the kind of insurance cover/legal teams to deal with the credit card companies.

Guarantee EA et al have those kinds of issues well hedged.

Is this just for small indie games ?
The other large publishers game are legit right ? I'd imagine that EA or Steam would deactivate stole cdkeys and the buyers would then file complaints against the store demanding refunds.

I wish I knew about this earlier since I brought a bunch of games from that store over the years.

Where hes wrong is that we went into Iraq at the invitation of the government, not as an invasion.
Were in Iraq as the result of a democracy asking for us to come in there. Its not an invasion.

No all the keys are legit - the method of acquisition isn't. Big publishers can either absorb the hit or have enough legal muscle to fight it.
