Andrew and English!!

I believe Mono has had a chat with you about a doubles game on saturday to play catch up with the club tournament that is going on.

I thought it would be easier to post a topic rather than PMing back and forth.

Is saturday early morning at about 10amish alright as i have a dinner on tha night over at my house which i have to prepare for.....??

other wise i have sunday available all day.

Jared

Start time of 10.30 would be better for me, it will give me time to appear to be human.

I have a realms of battle board to play over. Terrain is mostly imperial fortifications and craters so feel free to bring other types of terrain for some variation.

PM's for address will be incoming in the next day or so.

Do we want to move over to 6th ed for the rules set? 6th ed was suggested and I have no problems doing that, and the missions should be easily compatible

If we do will we be using all of the funky terrain rules? May as well, with 4 playing the same game it should be easy enough to look up rules even with the rule brick.

what mission will we be playing? Jared and I have only played mission 1, and I believe that Andrew said you guys had played missions 2& 3 so how about mission 4 or 5?

Im Happy to play 6th Edition..... need the practice anyway and as you say 4 heads are better than 2.

Are far as terrain is concerned, we can just stick to ruins etc 4+ and area cover 5+..... and ignore the flashy intact building and strange terrain rules.
Wprry about those later.

Misson 4 or 5 are fine by me.

Andrew

Juggernaughts look more imposing than the official thunderwolf model

Mono I thought you already had some Thunderwolf Cavalry painted up. Is this so you can run 2 units of them?

Also speaking of Thunderwolf Cav, how do you guys find them as a deathstar unit? I remember in our doubles game we almost exclusively focused fire on English's Thunderwolves from turn 1.

I was kind of thinking termies in a land raider would last longer since you need to use anti-tank first to destroy the vehicle before you can start shooting at the models inside. Although with the new 6th ed rules, thunderwolves get to re-roll their charge distance and also get hammer of wrath.

(apologies for changing the subject)

English

3 were made with legs I already had, 3 were made from legs Andrew gave me.

Dave

these are to max out the first unit and make a full second unit, the painted guy is from the first unit.

cavalry now move 12" and charge 2D6" with fleet reroll, so they potentially have a 24" threat range, unless you roll 3 1's in a row.

Overall I think that the 2 units will be on par with each other and it will depend on the army build as to which is better.
