Warhammer Fantasy

Well we always try to do something a little different for BIG TSUGUA and 2008 will be no different. In 2007 the HAND OF FATE appeared changing the ebb and flow of battles throughout the weekend.

2008 sees the arrival of the FOOT OF VENGANCE!!!!! (Cue booming thunder, crashing lightning etc.)

The FOOT OF VENGANCE is a single re-roll able to be used once during the entire tourney. Use the FOOT OF VENGANCE to force your opponent to re-roll one of their dice. As usual, this cannot be used to re-roll a re-roll.

* Dates - 2nd and 3rd of August
* 2250 pts
* 6 Games. (Pitched Battle Only)
* The tournament will use Warhammer Fantasy Battle 7th edition rules.
* Must have your Army List submitted by the 20th of July. TO will be checking the list you use at the tourney against that which you submitted. 5 pt penalty off your Overall score per day that the Army List is late.
* Nominated armies must be drawn from the latest published WFB Army Books, or published in Ravening Hordes.
* GW Q&A will be used. Interpretations from the DireWolf website may also be used.

Army lists are to be submitted in Word format ONLY via email to Carwyn at carwyn.llewelyn@oamps.com.au. You will be emailed a players pack once your list is received however you can request one from 01 June if required.

Chaos Dwarves and DoW lists are permitted. SOC lists that have not had a recent army book released may be used.

"Special Characters" are not allowed e.g. Azhag the Slaughterer, Skarsnik or The Emperor Karl Franz.

Generalship = (6*20) = 120pts = 60%
Sports = (6*5) = 30pts = 15% (0,3,5)
Comp = (6*5) = 30pts on a panel basis = 15% (0-5)
Painting = 20pt Question based check list = 10%

A “Yellow Card/Red Card” system for bad sportsmanship conduct will apply. There will be a beauty pagent however player votes will only go towards the best painted award not the total overall.

Each player is only eligable for one prize and can choose if eligable for more than one.

Composition will be marked prior to the tournament by a panel of 6 judges to be determined by the club and TO. Each judge will mark your list and the average score will be applied to each game.

Must have your Army List , Codex , tape measure or other measuring device, sufficient dice on the day, winning personality, chits, markers, and anything else you need to play the game.

General

Prefer painted armies. At the minimum we expect some effort to be made. General idea is min 3 colours, but we are not restricting people who have a few undercoated figures.

The usual array of prizes will be on offer.

Venue: Serbian Hall, cnr Vulture & Stephens St (Opposite South Bank Railway Station), Highgate Hill

Proposed Itinerary:

Sat 2nd August:

08:00 Sign in and unpack armies at your playing table if draw is ready.

There will be only 50 places for WHFB so get your entry in QUICK!!!!!!

With 50 players for Fantasy, I doubt 40K will get a look in.

Why would they bother, when all they get is complaints about it?

Maybe it's just me, but cancelling something rather than fixing it doesn't seem like much of a solution. I guess there's no point in me watching any of the BIG forums any more - thanks for the events that did run.

Hey guys.

Good stuff lads - stoked you'll be along.

Peacekeeper - not sure yet. Will see how it looks and go from there. Essentially, as with the VC at March if we don't have 6 weeks or so to get used to the list and work out some of the comp "issues" we won't use it.

As for 40k - sorry guys but no tourney for that system. Glad to hear you guys enjoyed it but with no regular 40k players to run it and plenty of interest in Fantasy it has had to be dropped.

If you have any queries on 40k PM me.

Cheers!

Ill be there Carwyn, didnt get to big march, but bug tsugua last year was a blast!
I dont know what the comp system was for big march, but I really love the idea for a panel of 6 judges to do comp for tsugua, I think its totally fair, balanced, and a step in the right direction that tourney's should take. armata_PDT_37.gif
I shall pm you closer to the event to see if u need another set of hands in setting up.

Cant wait!

Another tourney to put my hand up for, excellent.

Natural disasters permitting I look forward to being there with my Bret's.

I'll get my entry and payment in before the 01/07 ... saving a dollar or two sounds good to me.

Cheers,
Matt
