You know what? I give up, this is like playing chess with pidgeon. I'm going to leave while I still have enough brain cells to make the decision.

It really does have that vibe doesnt it? What I'm going for is essentially the lovechild of a scorpion and a warlock titan.

Unfortunately no time to work on it this weekend, should be able to get back to it during the week.

Okay so I couldnt work over the weekend as my weekends are always chockers.

I'm also I'll... which seems to be the theme for this year honestly, maybe its all the superglue in non ventilated spaces giving me mad cow disease. Or something.

Anyway, the Seer Falcon is now ready to hit the painting table!! (as soon as the last of the green finishes curing under the lamp)

IPB Image

And in that top corner? Well I'm performing major reconstructive surgery on an eldar dreadnought. Thats dreadnought, not wraithlord. Difference? It's from rogue trader.

I learned a lot from the Seer Falcon about how to fabricate cool "eldary" shapes from layers of plasticard and judicious application of sharp objects. So I plan to put that to work on this dreadnought-soon-to-be-wraithlord and see what I can come up with.

Working on the blank right at this very second in fact. Will be trying to get it onto the now basecoated serpent shortly.

Basically, all my wings thus far have been constructed of 4 "feathers", this one will be 5. Reason for this is I'm going to use the tips of this wing, have them switch back on themselves and create a "cradle" at the nose of the falcon's wings. In this cradle I plan to put the farseer symbol.

Hopefully this will work as intended, the mockups look promising.

well after 15 minutes stuffing around trying to make the camera talk to the laptop...

Heres the preview of the wing detail for the falcon, lined in white as I basically sketched it onto the tank.

IPB Image

I'm pretty happy with that design.

Alright lets see if I remember how to do any of this.

IPB Image

So I guess I got the bug again, and decided I should start simple by converting a wraithknight to have scatter shield for wings, so that I can then paint phoenix flame wings onto them, because I couldn't think of anywhere to put them otherwise.

How are people enjoying 8th, many active brisbane clubs?

Also stupid photobucket, should probably switch to imgur or something.

8th ed is really picking up for AoS and 40K. the Releases form GW are really sucking the air out of the competing games atm.

Sadly WAU has fallen a bit by the wayside for Blogs. Facebook has taken over, with Hosting images being harder for sites like this. I have moved all my 40K work to Facebook.
