Looks like a fun list!

Just a few things;

- Not wanting to run a Solarite Gauntlet instead of the Thunder Hammer? (I am just biased again TH's)
- I dont think the Augury Scanner is ading much to the Tactical Support squad, as the Melta's arent Rapid Fire or Heavy they wont benefit from the Deep Strike bonus.
- The Baneblade inclusion is through a house rule (normally a Solar Auxilia Lord of War)?

I like thunderhammers. Plus the model is the thunderhammer gamesday guy & I like him (mini love vs list love). I havent really figured out how to make powerfists look different from solarite gauntlets.

The support squad sargent gets the augury scanner for free when you trade out his flamer. Usually that squad is my teleporting kill team (7 meltaguns kill just about anyone or anything) but if they are on the ground then its a no infiltrate bubble.

So are you saying that page 163 of massacre no longer allows Legion Baneblades because the Auxilia have one?

Thats harsh. I went by the auxilia one because of this thread:

http://www.wargamerau.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=175625

but I had assumed that as marines didnt have access to them it was still a thing.

There's going to be thousands of angry baneblade owners out there in neckbeardland sad.gif

All good I got myself confused, I thought you were grabbing the regular Imperial Armour Baneblade for some reason rather than the Solar Auxilia one

Any reason going the Baneblade over the Fellblade? Just fluff and model?

Purely just the model. If I had a fellblade I'd paint the baneblade in Occulto's army colours and melt it with a blowtorch for terrain.

Well I got the email back from forgeworld

Hi there Matthew,

When it comes to official answers for questions these only come in FAQ's. Our house rule in this situation is that Space Marines can continue to use Baneblades and there variants in the army list as usual. Of course it is down to you and your gaming group/tournament organiser to decide what you will or won't allow in your games. In our group here, we always allow people to field models from their collection!

Thanks

Which is pretty much what youd expect from a hobbyist site & not a super serious business gaming rules site.

As a TO I'd allow it purely based on the other nasties available to marines for 600+ points

Yeah exactly, just play it unless the TO says no. When people are running things like Legion Typhons and Knight Lancers, taking a Baneblade isn't too bad.

I've encountered zero rules lawyers in the Heresy scene and thats after playing like 4 tournaments in the last 12 months, as well as heaps of friendly games.

It's a 4000 point army too. You might come up against someone with a Warhound titan with 4 D-shots!

I really like your list though, do you have any pics??

There's some long distance shots in the battle report but it will be finished over the next few weeks and I'll dump a whole bucket up.

Its a HH cheats army - I'm running it as a list based the last days of Terra, so the fists had access to mark 7's. Really dinged up mark 7's.

I'm looking forward to it, So far the LoW's of my opponents have all been primarchs. I had a mate leave his warhound in my shed for 3 years and we finally get around to a ruleset that encourages you to use one and he took it back laugh.gif

Yes, I reply to a lot of threads with images. That's because your posts are crap, and don't deserve anything more than a cursory Google image search.

If you havent glued the main turret on, you do a conversion which could play both ways ( armata_PDT_04.gif ) using a twin barreled main gun and some alternate sponsons. The sponsons are the hardest part but I did that with my baneblade and it works really well, plus I can then change the turret weapon to make it a Glaive etc.
