Was thinking about how to fit everything one would want in an elite task force into a 300 pt PanO list today while driving in the countryside (thank god I have games to think about when driving long distance).

Squalo Lt
Crocman Sniper
Kamau Hacker
Sierra Drone (basic)
Fugazi Drone
Akalis Sikh Commando HMG
Bagh Mari medic kit
Nisse

TAG check
Sniper check
Infiltrator check
TO camo check
Grenade launcher check
Machine guns check
Drop trooper check
Total reaction drone check
Hacker check
Medic check
MSV check
Repeater check

And no plebs.

At first I didn't understand why one would choose the armoured cavalry over the other options but the low PT cost and having the Lt version cost only 1 SWC is golden. It does mean I need to add him to my second purchase list.

Then I realised that after my intended second purchase I'd have a heavy infantry themed army that doesn't have any common models with this and could be played against it even if someone wanted to borrow an army to learn the game:

Swiss Guard with ML
Aquila Guard with HMG
ORC Lt
ORC HMG
ORC Boarding Shotgun
Knight Hospitaller with Explosive CCW

Fun times. Wow you rack up the points quickly in this system. That's 600pts and not even everything I intend to own.

Where's the Cutter?

C'mon as if you wouldn't want a TO Camo TAG?

Thats solid, i like the AD HMG and the drone HMG what i really like is the Multi HMG and Heavy Grenade Launcher! Thats alot of ARO power. Step out and people are gunna get their faces blown off!

TO Cros X Visor Sniper rocks, cant be a better sniper can there?

The Armoured Cav is awesome for its points i never looked at it. Multi HMG and Gren Launcher is awesome.

Nice list, very nice. Not much it cant cope with from the paper side. Wish i could suggest something but not much i can hehehe nice work. I might just have to steal that list hehe

Thanks, I have Cutter lists in the works too. But he's hard to fit and has an undue influence on the list. This is more of a "take all comers have all the answers" list.

I still think the Jotum and Dragoes are probably better than the Squalo for the cost, but those models are not available and I think the Squalo has found it's niche in a list like this.

No reason ya cant proxie them, i know how ya like to use the models that are out tho. hehe

Legion in the Avatar, PanO in the Sig nothing i can complain about haha. I might also have to steal that Sig pic. I may be able to make a a Legion one too... haha show your alligance. It may be easier to PM all your lists and pics you find save me alot of work biggrin.gif Just kidding.

If my opponent is cool with a proxy then I could do this Jotum list. Basically the same except it drops the hacker because the Jotum needs it far less and gets some more cheerleaders.

Jotum Lt
Crocman Sniper
Sierra Drone (basic)
Akalis Sikh Commando HMG
Nisse with HMG
Nisse (basic)
2 Fusiliers

300 on the nose.

Enough HMGs for ya? laugh.gif

Latest plan.

Squalo Lt
Nisse HMG (the model is arriving soon apparently)
Nisse basic
Akalis HMG
Akalis basic
Sierra Drone basic
3 Fusiliers basic
Fusilier HMG

biggrin.gif 5 HMGs of various persuasions.

Cheap enough to collect what I need for this with my Ariadna camo army for my second wave of purchases biggrin.gif

I think this lists plays to the strengths of PanO instead of covering weaknesses. Superb TAGs, excellent basic troops, solid medium infantry with AD or Visors. HMGs and a total reaction drone, which while are not a PanO thing, are excellent in any army IMO.

No hacker. I could do a straight swap for the drone, but my approach to enemy hackers will be to hunt them down, particularly with akalis, while my TAG lobs grenades from the backline till its safe.

Each HMG is slightly different because of the model it is on. On the fusilier it will probably be a suppressive fire weapon. On the Akali it will rip up the enemy back line. On the Nisse it will hunt camo troops and camp in low vis zones. On the Squalo it is Multi so can take on a range of targets. On the Sierra drone it has total reaction and 360 vision so it will guard the base.

That's part of the reason the Squalo has grown on me. For 1/3rd of my points and only 1SWC I get my Lt, my heavy hitter and my grenade launcher and allows me to take the Sierra drone. Its actually quite efficient. To cover all of those roles I would have to take 4 models and far more points and SWC.

I prefer the Cutter model itself but at least the Squalo looks like its actually fighting, unlike most of the other PanO models which look like they're standing around like lost farts.

I can't seam to find the Squalo nor the Sierra Drone on the shop front. Any other places where I can get a look at the models?

At some point I think people need to just accept that bad match ups and mission incompatabilities are possible.

Hmm those 2 minis alone are awesome enough to play the list!

Is it wrong that I'm contemplating a PanO pure mechanical army?
Jotum LT
2 Pathfinders
2 Sierra's (1 basic, 1 with EM-LGL)
2 Clippers
2 Fugazi

you could also drop the EM-LGL on the second Sierra to 'upgrade' the Jotum to a Cutter if you so desired. it also scales up to 400 points quite easily. you just add a second TAG.

pretty pricey to buy, but pretty cool i'd think.
of course, my hacker nomad army would eat it for breakfast...

Hmmm interesting. Their BS is not that good, but at least they're fast and you needn't worry about Morale.

Expensive army.
