Would anyone happen to be travelling via the city to Lightspeed and be willing to give me a ride (both ways)? I've found myself without transport for the weekend. Happy to put in some money for fuel.

If you get stuck, Nick, and can make it to Paradise Interchange we can give you a lift to and from there.

As promised a while back the players pack has been updated with the reduced count for the Ion Storm mission. I've also added templates that will be used for the Mynock mission to make it easy to remember to test for them. This will reduce the range a little as previously it was Range Band 1 from the edge of the asteroid, the new templates will make it Range Band 1 from the centre of the asteroid.

At this stage we have 6 Imperials and 6 Rebels. Remember that you can join the competition at any time, however the later you join the more likely you'll be asked to play a specific faction to keep the sides balanced. Nows the time to find everyone who is free next weekend and get them to come along.

Still room for anyone else who feels like some X-Wing today. See everyone for a 12 o'clock start.

The results of Lightspeed Episode 5 are in:

The Imperials gained victory with 13 wins to 7; however it was 8-7 Imperial way going into the last round.

Since Lightspeed 2 (when the Imperial versus Rebel format started) we've had Imperial, Imperial and a Rebel victory. That makes it 3-1 Imperial so far.

The first place winner on the Imperials was Michael Buckley. Aidan O'Brien one first place honours for the Rebels. Along with these two Tom, Jake, Evan and Andrew received vouchers to our sponsor The Hobby Matrix. Everyone took home a trophy from the even made by The Hobby Matrix Xcessories as well as some plastic range rulers.

Jason Glumart won the Jar-Jar Binks award.

Jake Kroker won the pre-pay prize and gained a VT-49. Thanks to Darryl Lademan for donating the prize.

The full ladder is below:

Wow, I must have missed a memo. I was the only Imperial player without a Firespray today. tongue.gif

Who doesn't love a Firespray? smile.gif

50% of the time better with a Phantom too? wink.gif

No worries Evan, if there was a turn for the day where everything went right for me and everything went wrong for an opponent it was that particular turn in our game, can't blame you for being a bit bugged out.

Thanks again Lance!
