Hi all,

So GW finally did it.

They released goblins.

*sigh*

So yeah I'm an AoS player now. What've I missed, what's the go, how does one build an army now?

(Yes I have the online rules, and ONLY the General's Handbook from last year. Oh and the Totally Not Night Goblins book)

Also is anyone in the Brisbane area able to take a brother through a game? With a spare army if possible as mine is under construction, and possibly relegated to Skirmish until further notice.

Cheers!

Borzag (and it's good to be able to say that with a Greenskin army under my belt again)

it's now gotten to the point where I have a Pavlovian montage response: if montage music plays, I lift and/or burpees

Excellent to see you amongst it.

I would suggest trying the facebook groups (gloomspite gitz is a good one) and one of the regional AOS groups. I am only a member of the Sydney and ACT ones and they are both very friendly and helpful.

Not to much AOS on here.

I'll jump on this thread - I'm thinking of giving the AoS system a chance. I have a Lizardmen army and I can't for the life of me work out what rules I need. I see AoS has the free core rules online, and each Lizardmen model page on GW website seems to have a PDF for that units rules. Is that all I need, the core rules + PDF for each unit? No physical rule books required?

More or less, if you are looking at match play (points) you will need the generals compendium (an annual supplement with points values and other items).

The Age of Sigmar app is free and has all of the profiles

New Generals Handbook (2019) just came out, grab that for the up-to-date points values & play scenarios n stuff. Download the free core rules and you can get all the Warscrolls off the product pages if you don't want to spend money on the Gloomspite Gits Battletome, but the Battletome has a bunch of extra usefull stuff (Battalions, Magic Items, Spell lists, etc...) so I'd recommend that too. You'll be good to go!
