Can i reserve a spot pending leave approval?

Posted by: Original Aug 21 2016, 08:21 PM

People get your registration ins, otherwise spots will be given to other systems.

Anyone who hasn't been to castle assault before, strap yourself in. Its the best event of the year and the best place to meet new players.

So don't leave it because you wont get a spot. Pay asap and get in on the shenanigans

Prize wise where/what is the $55 going towards? Raffle, top tier, random achievements etc

With it being fixed faction I take it you just build your lists from any of the available masters etc in faction, or are their other limitations?

What's the view on Wave 4 masters and models, as the book may not be officially available in Aus until the week of the event (expected release is the end of September)

At a minimum there will be prizes for the top 3 and best painted and guilders for each player. It depends on numbers but i hope to have a few other random prizes.

Yes for fixed faction you use one faction for the whole weekend and can use any masters from that faction.

Wave 4 masters and models are allowed (i will be using parker).

Hope to see you there.

Is there a chance someone could help me out with floor space to roll a swag out in?

There is street parking around the club. We have never had an issue getting a spot.

Good to hear your coming along mathe, it's a great weekend

Posted by: Eudaimon Sep 12 2016, 06:10 PM

By street parking, Kakwah means the free carpark at the back of the club.

Posted by: Morgrim Sep 28 2016, 11:13 AM

How about an update of those coming so i can prepare hexes in time?

Posted by: chromedog Sep 28 2016, 03:11 PM

The club carpark is accessible via Eva st (1st left off donald st AFTER beaumont, heading towards newy). There's a fair bit of room (the streetview does give you an idea, but usually doesn't open before 10am.

That said, there is also parking on Hudson street and in streets nearby (parking is available on weekends in Fern Street - the street where I live - it's limited time parking mon-fri though.)

I've posted a pic of where it is and how to get to it before (for BiV and for Castles prior).

Here are the results.

See you all at CA next year.

Just wanted to pass on my thanks to the entire castle assault crew and especially the faux boys!

For a bunch of blokes who didn't know who i was or anything you were all awesomely accomodating showing me around and allowing me to join for drinks.

To all my opponents, thank you for some of the best games of faux i've had.... some of them very close, all of them quite tactical and also a hell of a lot of fun.

Will DEFINITELY be making the return trip for castle assault next year.... and will be dragging some people kicking and screaming with me!

BEST........ TOURNAMENT........ EVER armata_PDT_37.gif

Posted by: one angry dwarf Oct 17 2016, 11:27 AM

Yeah thanks everyone for a cracking weekend - I think my body is still trying to process the debilitating amount of beer I drank on Friday night...

And as always thanks to Roy for making it all happen - he's the heart of the wargaming scene. Not the face though.

Posted by: tautor Oct 17 2016, 04:13 PM

Yep, finally made it home today. CA yet again has proved to me to be worth the pilgrimage up.

Had a great time seeing old faces and meeting new ones!

Already super keen for next year!
