QUOTE(6d6 @ Feb 28 2011, 09:00 PM) *

Sweet psykers! Are they chopped up genestealer hybrid models?

Good spot! The psychers are the old rouge trader genestealer hybrid models combined with ghoul arms and a bit of green stuff and power cables. This first lot are all the more human looking ones but I don't have enough for a full squad so I'm going to have to do some using the more genestealery models, hopefully they should turn out allright though armata_PDT_01.gif

Glad to see people like them though!

The larger ones on the side of the tank are done using a greenstuff mould taken from the symbol on the side of the cities of death manufactorium while the smaller one on the front of the tank was made using a greenstuff mould of a forgeworld symbol. The ones on the turret are just hand sculpted (I've done a few of them now biggrin.gif )

Hey all

Well, it's been busy with uni and other projects so I haven't been able to give the admech the love that they deserve. However, I haven't been completely indisposed, here are a few quick updates.

First up the MK II praetorian servitor, now with paint!

IPB Image

The Griffon. The gun can be swapped out for other weapons, although these aren't painted yet

IPB Image

And a few more psychers working their way towards being done

So, hopefully these guys should get their first big outing at MiF in a few weeks time, should be good! Hope you like!

The psychers look psycho Rusty, very mean and very crazy. Perfect for your Adeptus army smile.gif

Keep up the good work and I am looking forward to how you are going to paint up the squad.

Wow! So its been a little while between posts!

Unfortunately I have been ridiculously busy with uni and have had to forgo some of the little things like modeling, gaming, friends and family. As such, the poor old admech haven't had a lot of love over the last few months.

However! In a somewhat ridiculous moment I have added a couple of little additions to the army that will work their way onto the 'to do' pile.

And so, in the immortal words of OPR8OR, BOOMSAUCE MUTHERF#$KERS!

IPB Image

I'm a bad person...

IPB Image

Now, are they as cool as the forge world ones? Of course not

Are they still cool? Hells yes!
That and they are the only realistic way to get some titan love into the army without selling several potentially important internal organs

Both are going to get a makeover, much more detail for the reaver and possibly a new head for the warhound (don't really like the armourcast one...), plus new weapons for both of them (the reaver does actually have weapons, their just not in the photo).
Not sure what legion yet, although I'm thinking legio metalica as the colour scheme should look good with the rest of the admech.

In the mean time, the psycher battle squad is almost fully converted and the baneblade has also had some work done so hopefully a proper update soon! (after I get the first half of my thesis in...)

I don't know. I think they are every bit as cool as the forgeworld ones, just in a different way. No doubting that forgeworld titans are gorgeous and lovingly detailed, but I have a real fondness for the classic space marine/titan legions era titans that these are based on. cool.gif

Now good luck with that thesis.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I love the old titans as well, it's why I couldn't say no to that reaver! Really looking forward to adding a bit of detail and then getting some paint on it!

And speaking of my thesis, (here comes the shameless plug biggrin.gif ) if anyone wants to help, you can participate by following this link

It's an online study, completely anonymous and takes 5-10 minutes! If you could it would be hugely appreciated!
