Thanks for running it Shippy, was a great weekend!
Worth mentioning Simon and I were tied for first place, and on battlepoints (first tiebreaker).. went to second tiebreaker, very close! (plus I needed all four people above me to all knock each other out with draws going into round 5.... and it happened, haha!) Shane, paint your army next time! 1st I would like to say sorry for being a grouch the 1st day. no reason I can give would make it right.
2 nd Shippy and Matt rock for starting up Shippycon again, (Thank you my second home tournament is back). I would like to thank Stev and the Renmark lad for backing them up with table bottems and all the help the give behind the seens. 3rd I would like to say sorry to Scott and Poul for thumping there armys so bad .I didn't think I would do so well against Tau and Death wing. But I hope you 2 had a good game anyway. I do miss the trip up to Renmark from Peebinga to have a game with you lot. 4 th thanks again. And I will be back next time. Results will be up tonight or tomorrow night, they tend to go up about a week after a tourney.
I'd also like to put a shout out to my opponents Game 1 Mark> Well played sir. I can't blame it on brain farts as you had yours too. Nice and gritty, was still in it until the last turn but lascannon > artificer armour. See you next year for revenge & lulz Game 2 Jacob> A quick games a good game! If 'running away from drago & 10 paladins for 4 turns' is a game. Well deserved sports dude, was pleasure to meet orange jesus. One more turn! I'll get you gadget Game 3 Shano> What can I say, you rolled the worst dice against the hardest targets for 5 turns. Your deployment invited the flank attack, but it probably shouldnt have gotten to the middle mark. Next time dude & great to play again after such a long break Game 4 Andy> 9am scotch is the bestest scotch. Same as Shano, great to catch a game after so long. Apparently the space wolf's natural enemy is the dance party? Game 5 Vinny> Soooo close. Victory at shippycon, thwarted by two venerable dreads. Yet another down to the wire carnage-fest. Thanks again & drop us a line if youre in adelaide for a game The venue was great, thanks to shippy the host with the most & to steve & his posse for organising the tables & prizes and the crowd was an awesome crew. I know its unlikely they exist but players can not get credit for SA masters and ATC (and therefore Shippy can not get his TO points) unless we can get a copy of results - can someone ask the Gnome. Would be a pity for the event not to count.
