First of all, a big thanks to Rob (Thunderchild) for running a smooth con with well conceived and executed missions. Good on you mate. It was great fun.
.
Secondly, after it was suggested by a number of times a number of people to have more regular cons at the PCYC I made some enquiries with the management.
.
Basically, it can be done.
.
I need to hear how keen people actually are for the idea before I make any arrangements.
.
- There is storage space in the hall for equipment. We can make, buy, borrow terrain etc.
- We have permission to set up camp beds in the hall for overnighters and there are plenty of facilities nearby for people to pay for a room.
- The Heritage hotel has agreed that they will do group deals for meals and beer armata_PDT_37.gif
- I'm a member of the Bulli/Woonona PCYC and they've also advised that they do group rates and have a bus to drive people to and from their catered meals. Sounds like a fun Saturday night as part of the deal.
- The quarterly games could have cumulative points for an annual combined battle point prize etc.
.
There are more interesting ideas that can be discussed but the bottom line is that there needs to be some kind of actual Bulli club to be formed. This can be done if there is sufficient support and agreement.
.
What do people think?
.
Do we have the enthusiasm, numbers etc to do this or was it just wishful thinking?
.
Cheers,
.
Hadley

I'm quite happy to support and attend any further cons in Bulli and a gaming club sounds like a great idea.

If there is one thing that is lacking in the Illawarra region, it is a 40K gaming club and a facility to play 40K at apart from the GW in Wollongong CBD.

I would also be able to get the word out about any future tournament through the podcast that I am apart of.

Getting a club up and running would be a great idea. I'm in if it helps to improve the gaming scene in Wolllongong/ Illawarra.

I had to miss the event, but I would be happy to see if I could make these events - I live in southern sydney, so Wollongong is just as close as Hornsby or wherever - and more games are good!
