WargamerAU Forums _ 40k General Discussion _ Landspeeder storm question

Posted by: LimitedSlip Nov 10 2018, 04:39 PM

I have a couple of questions about scouts mounted on a landspeeder storm and how it behaves in combat. It is particularly important because the scout seargent has twin inferno pistols.

If the landspeeder is in combat, can the scouts shoot pistols into the combat? On one hand, the landspeeder is in combat and you can shoot pistols in combat, however the scouts themselves are not in close combat (mounted) and you can't shoot into a melee that you aren't engaged in. So, can the scouts shoot?

Second is whether they can shoot if the landspeeder falls back. The landspeeder can fly, but the scouts themselves do not have the fly keyword. I think this was FAQed but couldn't find the reference. Confirmation that they can or can't shoot if the landspeeder falls back?
