Hey guys, this is where I'm going to be posting updates on my tau and necron allied force (desert themed)
I'd like to start by saying I'm not the greatest painter ever but I have an ok standard and I have fun with it anyway.  Sorry about the pics not being super great quality, don't have the best of cameras at the moment. I'm going to just start this thread out by showing you what I have at the moment.  ALL MODELS IN THIS POST ARE WIP THE INFANTRY   I thought I'd try the cool looking lightning shoulder pads on the lord, not sure if I like it though, might brighten it up a little, what do you guys think? Here are some pics of my WIP ghost ark
give me some opinions on the scheme  This was discovered completely by accident, I was spraying the ark outside, the. I dropped it accidentally in some dirt, the dirt kind of stuck to it and I couldn't get it all out, so I put a bit more spray over it and painted over it once it had dried, and now I really like the look of it!   -------------------- |

Not really super happy with the colours on the armour at the moment. I got some really good tips from FatDamien about some armor and weathering so I'm going to paint up a test model and post that up to get some opinions, then if that goes down well ill do a whole squad or a vehicle if I feel up to it!

Is this a modelling diary or a talking diary mate?
 Less words more pics of those wicked looking Necrons. Even though it looks like you took the picture through a fish tank, I can see they are coming up the goods. Bleeeeeeeghhhhh I've changed the armour on the immortals, but Im not as sharp with a brush as I used to be... So in my opinion they don't look as good as they should, but oh well. Taking GREAT inspiration from FatDamien I've looked at my bone/desert necrons in a different light. I've gone for a much brighter armour that's been layered up not washed, and then weathered it. (these pics are very much still a wip but hey it gives you an idea of what I'm up to
I still have more work to do to complete the weathering, but I'll have to wait for my new order of paints to arrive because I'm out on most colours unfortunately :/ Well I'm sure you're done hearing me crap on so I'll put some pics in for you  (by the way my camera is broken so all I have to work with is my phone at the moment, stupid iBrick  )The brighter armour I've tried  Front of the half done weathered model next to an unwethered model  Back of the half done weathered model  I've also decided because I'm going for the lighter armour, I'm going to switch from blue to orange on all the lights and whatnot, as it's a much better off colour for the lighter bone -------------------- |
