It has been quite a few years since I have run a campaign.

Following feedback in the other thread I have decided to give it a go.

It will be map based and use planetary empires for the map.

It will require a player to be able to field an army up to at least 3000pts - so you should pick a race you can do this in yourself or can borrow to do so.

Different type games will be required at different points (i.e you will be able (for some cost or a restricted number of times) to assault a hex you don't have an adjacent hex to but it will be a planetrstrike mission.
If you attack an enemy command hex it will be an apoc game. If you attack a city hex it will be a city fight.
I will also fit spearhead in as well. Idea is to get some of the funky gaming in.

idea is run for 6 mths (we could reduce this but would need to have get togethers more frequently - I thought monthly with everyone elses commitments work etc would be sufficient) - 1 night a month which will be resource generation, planning movement etc - then you will have until the next month to play the resulting battle/battles (they can be played that night or arranged between opponants to suit)

I will be keeping the reserves, reenforcements, resources etc side of it pretty simple.

I would like minimum of 4 players - max of 6 for the first run. Need to commit to one night a month (prob a Friday) - if you can not make it there will be provision to assign orders but should be exception to miss night - not norm.

I will put the rules up here once get them sorted. Would like to aim for a mid Feb start.

Sign Up here

(note may be spot or two for non-sanctum players so if interested say so)

1 Alun
2 Tom
3 Andy
4 Chris A
5 Casper
6 Drew
7 Nick (possibly or reserve/stand in)

Sounds good Al.

Would give me a real reason to get an Ork Stompa. armata_PDT_37.gif

Tuesdays or Thursdays are better for me, but Fridays can work too.

Yeah, I'd be up for this Alun.

A weeknight early start say 6.30ish would be good.

I will have Caleb and he can play games with us or other kids.

He is into Munchkin, Heroquest, Space Crusade, Monopoly etc and Xbox Wii and is able to keep himself occupied.

Would be good to run the Blood Angels at this size.

Am mobile again so will be catching up with you all very soon.

We can discuss further then.

6.30 ish certainly doable for me

I can do a weeknight - just thought Friday may be more relaxed but Tuesday is another option. Thursday I will be coaching rugby.

Munchkin - got that in cupboard - great game !

That night is just for the campaign side of things - the actual battles can be arranged between opponents during the next 2-3 weeks before next campaign night.

I found this Noise Marine Super Heavy that really, really needs to get fielded at least once.

2K of Noiseys ready by Friday, more in reserve - plus reserves from House Berdmun if required (they're Chaos now)

I'd love to be involved.

On the one hand, I won't win.
On the other, I need 40Hammers games for practice.
On a third hand, I like the idea of playing outside of a damn tournament.

If you guys can't find a 6th Id put my hand up.

Interested in getting back into 40k and this seems a good way to do it.

1 night a month meeting fits pretty good with work as well and now I live this side of town its only 10mins down the road.

Yep, I like all of the above smile.gif

3000 points, Casper would have dibs on CSMs?

I can do CSMs or Eldar, will take either one at a pinch to avoid double ups.

I CAN run 3K of CSM now, and have a Noise Marine super heavy, but I can run Orks without too much hassle if necessary.

Just that given my 3 tourney armies for the year are MEQ, I was hoping for Marine practice.

Hell, I've started test models for Daemonettes too - have around 60 or 70 there, plus cav. Maybe my Daemons could run Planetstrike missons? I dunno.

Let me know Tom, and if we're not sure, Al can flip a coin.

(Although Damage is running greenskins - damn it!)

Sounds like you should just go Chaos then and I will go Eldar smile.gif

Al will likely take Marines? Chris can take BA's, and as mentioned above, Damage can take Orks, perfect!

Everyone can go ORKS.

So of the bestest games i never played was Nroms Ork vs. My Orks.

I have an Ork Fighter/Bomber coming too. armata_PDT_37.gif

My bad Drew - thread updated, Nick you are welcome to drop in when we launch and I am always looking for a game if you want to get back into the swing - I may even be able to accommodate 7 players - just need to work a few details out.

So??

1 Alun - Marines
2 Tom - Eldar
3 Andy - Orks
4 Chris A - BA's??
5 Casper - CSM's?
6 Drew - Ordos?? CSM's??

I suppose it wouldnt be too bad to have the Emperors Children and Iron Warriors as 2 x CSM's.

We Eldar would never collude with the Greenskin!!! Demented funghi that they are!! But... alas, the alternative is the ever painfully resilient Mon'Keigh, so we shall yield. Craftworld Mael'Dannan will rain shurikens of death across the galaxy!!
