Kind of a continuation of the other thread, but I have been looking at the minis all afternoon and am tempted to give it a try.

Are there any groups around NSW at all for the game? How many points are played?

I am just starting out too, but I am told 1000 points is the go, 1500 sometimes. They play in the Eastern Suburbs, probably elsewhere; I haven't finished my army yet tongue.gif

There are four of us who play Bolt Action at Southern Battlegamers (who meet every Friday night at Box Road, Sylvania - the site of MOAB), but the game is so rarely played that you'd need to tee one up in advance. Two of the armies run are per the current meta - all Veterans, lots of automatic weapons - while the other two armies are all Regulars and get killed to a man whenever they share the table with the other two.

I suspect that Chain of Command may get more table time next year, and the Very Good Thing about that is that you can use the same figures for both.

I am up around Hornsby - got a mate who is also interested, although I'd be buying his army for him as he's broke. tongue.gif

Seems like there are a lot of people who have viewed the thread - looks like maybe its just a matter of a few crazies starting up a bit of scene to get it rolling.

On a side note, I can't stop looking at their minis range for the game, so much character! Makes 40k look a little stale.
